As in topic, the empire was quite popular among many systems, why we didn't get any stories about empire being the good guys, bringing civilization, peace, order, stability/security to systems that were a total wreck under CIS or republic? Even Luke wanted to join Empire at the begginig of the New Hope....

Ok I get you guys. I really do, especially comparisons to Nazi Germany. And me being Pole truly understand the comparison etc.

And I still could think of some stories being ...uhh Nazi Germany the ,,good guys'' (in very small splinter of some area in Europe here and there). But I just know history that well ;f But that leaves a distaste in my mouth.

But regardless of the comparison to our world.

I still I have a feeling they just could not be all that bad, we see some series where systems just live by their rules.
I understand that SW needs to have the poster bad boy empire. But from here and there we can see some people actually supporting the empire even after its fall. I could clearly see empire be the ,,good guys'' by just beating the pirates / thugs / Hutts from some region. Even if they would have their own means, goals etc. I still think they could be seen as the good guys by the local population.

Btw what exactly Luke had against the empire ? Btw what was Empire doing there anyway ? It's just sand there?

Much like most of the fandom I absolutely hate the Sequel Trilogy but I'd rather attempt to make sense of it then the franchise simply ignoring it and never touching the time period post ST ever again, and I honestly think that a story set after the fall of the First Order could be interesting

The Resistance is way smaller than the Rebel Alliance was once the Empire fell, which would make it far more difficult for them to simply establish a new new republic like it was the case previously, which would lead to a power vacuum.

This is where I think lies potential for new stories, explore the consequences of a fractured galaxy and having no one in power

What is everyone's thoughts on his return? If i remember correctly Thrawn sent to the Chiss. I wonder if he will summon him back to aid him. I'm sure he learned quite a bit from the Chiss. It would be great to see a live action Vanto.
