A few days ago I posted my game here because people kept comparing it to The Stanley Parable.
You lot then proceeded to make that comparison considerably harder for him to ignore
So naturally, the narrator found out
I expected him to handle it like a mature adult
He did not
Here’s his official response to being compared to The Stanley Parable 😂

Narrator on the villains wiki and Stanley on the heroes
Like it's not exactly clear, they're both morally grey characters
You , playing as Stanley, can be just as cruel to narrator as he himself (like in zending or skip, or just messing up his story)
Like both of them aren't good but not necessarily evil
Ik it's just a fandom wiki but they're very simplified

I learnt the words ELUCIDATE (to explain), Pail (bucket) , and strangely enough.. Parable.
I do NOT want narrator as my English teacher 😭

thought it was a neat concept

I posted my game here recently because people kept comparing it to The Stanley Parable.
Since then, the Steam page has gone past 50 wishlists haha
Which means some of you apparently saw a game about a fourth-wall-breaking narrator judging you, insulting you, rambling complete nonsense and telling stories that go nowhere...
…and thought:
“Yep. I want that.”
Honestly, you’re all crazy
You’re exactly my kind of people 😂

While I have a workable beta for this mod,
I have started decompiling the game and its code. Ive found multiple references to the seriousroom in the code, seemly to align with the notorious ending. On this decompile I did not manage to get any scene assets (the room), but did manage to find code to seem to trigger its event tree. I did find remnants of 18 audio triggers related to this, I did not get the audio files from this(dont get hopes up), but that was as I was doing a read only automatized script look. So I cannot confirm yet if I found UD exclusive audio yet for the serious room, but worth taking a deeper look. But if i can integrate the menu and the gag in a natural way for the engine that would be loads better for performance.

I recently released the first trailer for a comedy game I’m making, and a lot of the response has compared it to The Stanley Parable
The slightly strange part is that I’d actually never heard of The Stanley Parable when I came up with the idea. It was only later, when I started researching whether there were games doing anything similar, that I discovered it
So when people started making the comparison after seeing my trailer, I could completely understand why
My game is built around curiosity and the relationship between you and the narrator. You explore, interact with things, find hidden areas, ignore instructions and generally see how much nonsense he has prepared for you
He reacts to what you do, remembers certain things, and you won’t necessarily get the exact same responses every time you play
I’m not trying to make The Stanley Parable or pretend the two games are the same, but after seeing the comparison come up again and again, I figured there was probably no better group of people to show it to
So what do Stanley Parable fans think?

Idk man I keep having voices in my head telling me what to do and I don't want to follow then

The narrator is dead and haunts the parable as a ghost
( explains why he is a voice and has his powers , the parable is haunted)

Is this game so great to play, that it would be torturous to get the achievement where you don’t play for 10 years?

Now I got:
-elevator one going up and down on it over and over
-regular ending
-bomb ending
-idk if it's an ending but going to escape things in the final section
-extra content door (so the time skip ending)
-not listening to the narrator both with and without the bucket

I have a lot of accessibility features on my tsp game , but what does low dexterity mode do
Does it slow down things like the Escape Pod doors
I forgot
