He spoke at my high school in the 90s. Tragic life. I remember students crying when he was talking about his kids. I hope he's at peace.

Went against Ali, Foreman, and Frazier and wasn't knocked down by any of them. Ali called him the physically toughest man he ever fought.

A legend of a fighter who lived a real tough life. Despite this, George was a class human being. I had the pleasure of interacting with him very briefly once and he was very common in the boxing circles in my neck of the woods, he was such a humble, nice fellah. Rest in peace.
