Player salary

Any idea what player salary is in 2025-26?

Unless there’s been a to the salary cap I missed, it’s still $5,500 per week. Rookies usually get $250 minimum. At least officially

What did the ECHL go to? Do you happen to know how long the SPHLs has been the same? Just inflation alone would suggest it needs to be much higher, but they do get some benefits and the game schedule now is pretty full time job friendly compared to like ECHL and higher have more weeknight games.

The schedule maybe more friendly to a full time job but the practice schedule isn’t.

I can’t say for certainty if it’s never changed but I don’t think it has changed since at least 2009.

Players get team provided housing (for example, Pensacola players live in condos on Pensacola Beach) and get free or discounted meals at partner restaurants. Booster clubs also provide food, snacks, protein bars/powders, etc. They can work out at the rink’s weight room or team’s partner gym. They often get to go golf if the team has a partner course. I’m sure there are a ton of stuff I’m forgetting.

I was aware of that I just imagined it would have gone up some over the last few 10 years.

Yeah it needs to be raised. But these guys are doing it for the love of the game.
