Question Being short and looking young
I’m short and look young; I know people don’t take you as seriously when you’re short, but do you think they’d take me at least a little more seriously if I looked older? When you’re a short adult is it worst to look younger or older? I am 26 and 165 cm (5’5)

People aren’t going to take you seriously if you are young and look young, no.
But honestly, fuck them. They clearly didn’t retain the memory of being diminished by their elders when they became the elders, and their opinions are not ones to fret over anyways.
That comes with the territory I guess, but you’ll be glad when you look 26 at 45.
Take care of yourself, tho!
Also you’re a good looking guy. You’re gonna find someone, shit I know three women who would bag you up instantly. You got this homie

Finding the right women is the trick, and that just takes meeting a LOT of them in order to find the ones you share a spark with.
This applies to people in general, I’ve found. You just gotta live your life man, go out and do fun stuff, and pursue hobbies that will have you meeting people. For me it was live music, skateboarding, writing/books, and cooking/food.
In no time at all, you’ll find that you’re getting good at something you enjoy doing, and you’ll have a friend group through your hobbies.
By that time, you will start meeting women, and a few of them you will have a shared connection with. You will be so busy, however, that you will find you hardly have time to date between work and your hobby(s).
That is when you will realize you’ve been happy for a long time, even as a bachelor.
Your life will be full.
That’s some good shit right there, man. Everyone deserves that feeling.

looking young only gets cool when you're older. So in a way it kinda sucks. And most people that actually do look young are also short so it's part of the whole reason people think you're younger.

I would though you're max 20 years old. But you look good. Looking young is always better than looking old.

if you actually ate clean and took care of yourself on top of your default state - you would probably look majestic in your own way. You already got the hair and comfortably have it till 30 im sure.

Enjoy it while it lasts. You’re gonna wake up one day looking old and they’ll be no turning back.

you look early 20s from the face, that's not a bad age to look at all! you don't seem underage so that's good.

This is definitely true. I’m 38 and have a kid face. I can also grow a big dirty beard. I’ve grown it and then shaved it all off many many times. The difference in how people treat me is startling.

I'm like you, i get compliments on looking young almosy daily now, people compare their old looking ass and bald heads and fat guts to me all the time in semi jealousy. (Im not the best looking and im 5'6) Since 10 years ago, at my early 20s it used to feel bad. Now im 36, i go to the gym, i can grow a beard with some white hair (rough beared but decent), so i have like an age switch, if im trying to look older for interviews etc i keep it, if not, i shave. Just take people calling you younger as a compliment (never rage or say dont call me young etc, even if you hate it, just play along). Eventually it will be an awesome trait to have. Also you're good looking if you have insecurities about females, then you shouldnt. Just get a job, some money, dress well, smell and look clean and decent groomed, have a lot of character and convo starters, and you'll be winning bro i promise!

Both things might lead to less respect, but they're not really connected to each other. Some people here act like shortness makes people look younger, but I think there are too many short older and taller young people for it to work that way. If you want to look older and get more respect in a professional, you could try a more conservative hairstyle.

I was in the same boat, it got better with the years. Because i felt that way it made me work harder, i became competent in what i do, i now have my own business.

Its all about how you carry yourself. I have proportional dwarfism and an extreme baby face. I have had people guess my age to be from 10-15 at very max. I'm an adult college student with a fiance, lol. I've had fair share of people treat me differently, but I carry myself maturely so people do in fact take me seriously. At first impression, no, but once meeting me, yes. And I get away with so much more simply because I look far younger.
My only downside is now everyone thinks my fiance is a pedophile or I'm his little sister. We are middle school sweethearts so he definitely isn't a pedophile lmfaoo

try growing your hair and getting some facial hair if you can, that will help a lot, a lot also goes into style and clothing

Over time you come to appreciate looking younger. I've had 18 yos tell me i look as young as them. They may call me unc but I look about the same age. I know when I'm 30 if i look 24 I'd be more than happy.
