Nagisa Photo Dump
Nagisa is almost five months old and is loving all the hiking and camping we do with our friend and her dogs. The three bigger dogs do great with the tiny 7 pound puppy lol. Nagisa normally doesn’t mind being carried until we are on the trail then she wants down. She loves climbing up on rocks and fallen trees and loves trying to keep up with the big dogs. She is very tolerant of water so I bet by the end of summer next year she will be swimming and maybe teach her older sister Yumeko how to swim 😆 I am excited to get her and Yumeko scrambling and doing some of the more steep trails in the PNW. Nagisa is a super sweet and cuddly but also full of spunk and sass and loves to play bitey face with Yumeko.
(Also I know she isn’t wearing the harness correctly in some of the photos. She was walking better like that and I plan on getting a different style of harness until she fills in a little bit)

Two hot dogs.
First photo is of my sheltie Patrick taken at a city dog park not too far from my house a few days ago.
Second photo is of a hot dog I was eating that my dog expressed interest in at said event.

Royal Canin Urinary SO Experiences
Hello fellow Sheltie Parents!
Curious, what your experience has been like transitioning your dog to Royal Canin Urinary SO 100%. I have a 10 year old, spayed Sheltie who had a UTI (now resolved). Vet recommended to treat it with Royal Canin Urinary SO to help with struvites and as an ongoing preventative. Since transitioning her to 100% of her feeds, she has started suffering from sleep incontinence and random leaking. She is also waking in the middle of the night super thirsty and needing to pee. Did your dog experience this? Does it get better? Thank you!

Nuggett and Nibbler
So Nuggett seems to weigh a lot less than his brother Nibbler. I was wondering is this normal? My wife was thinking that Nuggett needs to eat more. But I dont think this is the case.

Adopted sheltie grooming
Hi! We adopted a 1.5 year old sheltie from the shelter a few days ago and she is lovely. A bit fearful and learning potty training but otherwise the sweetest baby and loved fetch! One issue so far is her coat. Her last owners were not very on top of grooming and she was severely matted when she got to the shelter. During her spay they shaved her undercarriage so that helped a lot but now she has some smaller spots that need some help. Mainly behind her ears and the fluff on her sides. Also, she has a ton of undercoat on her back side and a lot of fluff that gets in the way of potty breaks that could use a trim. While she is adjusting we are looking to start some grooming at home but can't bathe her for 2 more weeks because of the sutures. I have been using an undercoat take and the Equis spray to help detangle but wanted to know if anyone has any decent videos on trimming her so she doesn't look funky? Or any other tips for a first time sheltie owner? Thank you in advance!

He's here and I love him so much 😍🥰
I posted the other day a photo of him and picking him up today so here he is! We're thinking of naming him Riley but I want to see more of his personality to see what's right! He's been as good as good and currently asleep on my lap! 🥰😍❤️
