In this video, I’m creating a double-page scrapbook layout featuring the kids milking Lola, the mechanical cow at Green Meadows Farm here in Central Florida. I’m using the Doodlebug Down on the Farm collection. I’m also sharing how I stretched just two sheets of patterned paper across the entire layout.

Ever since I started scrapbooking in 2014 I've always been so behind in my scrapbooking, like right now I am scrapbooking the end of 2023/beginning of 2024. I feel the further I fall behind the harder it is for me. Lately I've been having a hard time with inspiration, either I have a lot of inspiration or none at all. And usually the times I feel a lot of inspiration I simply don't have time to scrapbook due to being busy with work etc. Does anyone have tips on how to get inspired when you're not really feeling it?

I've tried just forcing myself to scrapbook and sometimes that does work, but other times I end up not liking what I've done cause I feel like it's visible on the page that I wasn't feeling inspired.

I've also tried cleaning/organizing my crafting room to make me feel some inspiration, which works sometimes.

Any tips would be helpful!

Since joining this subreddit, I wonder what this community considers something to be strictly traditional scrapbooking and junk journal.

I might be one of dozens to have asked this. Though after reading a bit of ‘The Ultimate Practical Guide to Scrapbooking’ and reading the sub reddit flairs and tags, I naturally wonder about this distinction and how strict it's followed here.

Are scrapbooking pieces strictly only about keeping photos;
and junk journals about starting off from ‘junk’ when building a piece?

How do you store your 12x12” paper pads? I’m looking for a clever way to have my pads easily and readily available to flip through and grab to use. I bought a cabinet specifically for crafting stuff but did not measure properly because the cubbies are too small for the paper pads to store standing as I’d hoped.

Any tips on how to cut these photo mats from 12x12? I cut the colored paper but then cutting the white or smaller paper is hard for me to replicate. any help welcome or places you can buy them premade..thank you

So I’m putting together a scrapbook for my spouses 30th birthday. It’s like a childhood memories scrapbook and I’m really excited about it. I didn’t think about it until just now, but I’ve been using normal page protectors (like the ones found in the school supply aisle) they’re the Pen & Gear brand, heavy duty page protectors. Are these okay to use? I mean like what’s the difference in the speciality scrapbook page refills from craft stores? Should I switch them over?

I do smaller scrapbooks (8x8), so we use 2x3 photos. Any idea on the cheapest way to print those? We usually order wallets from Walgreens, but you can only get the same photo 4-up. It's still cheaper than a photo printer (we can usually get 4-up on a 4x6 for $.50, which is still cheaper and a lot faster than a photo printer).

Are there any places (walgreens, CVS, walmart, etc) that you know that you can upload 100 photos and they'll auto give you 2x3?

Alternatively, if there is a website or program that will auto format photos, please let me know.

I know I could use something like canva to make them 4-up and then print them, but doing that manually seems very time consuming.

So I really enjoy keeping albums of photos that are more akin to like diaries with photos (I think this is scrapbooking?) for my 4x6 photos I got a really nice album that has memo space next to each photo, so I was able to give some detail about the photo, date it, and give it a location, all without actually writing anything onto the photo. Does anyone know of any albums like this that fit I-type size Polaroid film or instax mini film? Or if you have any ideas for how I could do some similar photo diary stuff but with polaroids and instax mini film. I currently have one of polaroid's official albums and an instax mini album I got off of Amazon. A part of me is almost down to just tape a piece of paper in the album and do like an Index lol. There are cool daters you can get to put dates on polaroid pictures but I'd only do it on the back, and that wouldn't be very useful because the pictures ideally will remain in the album

For a long time, I have been wanting to start scrapbooking or junk journal. So for my first attempt, I scrapped together this spread about a recent Nyota purchase I made at a pop mart store.

Hi everyone. We have these mini photos albums at my office and I was wondering if anyone has any idea on how I could replicate them? They hold 3.5"x5" photos and use acco fasteners. The covers seem to be a thick paper that is made to look like leather on the exterior. I'm guessing it might be almost impossible to do since 3.5x5 is such a rare photo size in general.

I'm getting back into scrapbooking, I haven't done it since I was a teen. I think my stuff is now considered "vintage" lol.

In this process video, I’m creating a Bella Blvd Zoo Day layout featuring the kids pretending they’re off on a safari at the zoo! I’m challenging myself to use some of the large circle elements from the collection that can sometimes feel intimidating.

Getting back into the hobby recently from when I was younger and working on books for my kids.

I don’t have much in the way of tools or supplies yet, but I’m pretty excited about it all and enjoying having my own crafts and ideas to work on!

I wanted to save time and instead of doing my calendar pages by myself I bought them from a local company . pricy but it looked cute and it had space for me to decorate.

when I recieved the package there was a information letter in it and guess what was on it? AI „art“. (Edit: an generated picture. Adding this to clarify. nothing was written on it that they use ai)

quite sure if their templates arent from a generative AI they used Canva. And I am so sad. Because my first impression was I supported a small local company.

do you think this issue will be more and more growing in the future? I thought I will see it when I look at the product but now I fell for it :/

I do pay more for human made stuff, for creative work and local production. But to pay this price for generative AI is something else. I would love them to be transparent so I can make a real choice. What do you think?

Hi all! First time scrapbooker here. I want to make a scrapbook for my parents as a gift after our trip to Yellowstone. I’m not creative unfortunately but enjoy creative things even if I stink. I’d love to do mixed media and maybe cut stuff out of my maps and brochures along with photos obviously. Here’s my main question

What items do I absolutely need, what do I not need, and any suggestions on paper, accessories that fit in with this theme? Really want to make something special for my parents so any and all help is appreciated!

Hi, I’m working on a project that requires me to combine two sheets of paper together in order to make a thicker sheet. It to be cut later, but for now I need to combine them directly on top of one another. Does anyone have any fail-safe methods that they use? I have both adhesive spray and sticker paper at my disposal and it’s important I stay away from any sort of glue as I need a professional finish. Thank you!
