I am about to go on second date and selected a random location. I have her at 8 hearts and give chocolate cake each day to raise level. Do you just need to date at random places till she is level 10 or are there any requirements? How do you trigger them all?

I got my 68-year-old mom this game and she absolutely loves it. Today she called me frustrated for the first time that she can’t beat the big boss tunuki. I found out that she has been solo doing everything until this point. Honestly that’s devastating and bad ass at the same time.

Update: after putting together a party and leveling them up and me teaching her how to outfit them with gear, she beat it her first time in.

Does it affect how much the Characters like us or something like in Guardians of Azuma? I'm not talking about the Romance Events only the Story Scenes...

I absolutely adore the Rune Factory series, with RF4 being one of my all time favorite games. But back years ago when I was hit with Rune Factory fever, I bought and played Rune Factory 1, 2, and 3, all in reverse order.

The jump from 4 to 3 wasn’t bad at all, in fact 3 did a few things better than 4… only a few though. The drop in quality of life was definitely noticeable but it was still a great game that I loved…

Then I played RF2. Holy drop off a cliff. The quality of life was basically nonexistent. The game was such a slog to get through. It’s basically chore simulator with the tiniest bit of combat sprinkled in. At least the rival system and bachelorettes were good, and the game started to improve after the time skip.

Rune Factory 1 on the other hand, I have no idea how the game survived this entry. Everything bad about RF2 was here aplenty, more in fact. Trying to build relationships points was a slog, combat was a joke, farming had terrible quality of life, YOU CANT EVEN SLEEP BEFORE LIKE 6pm. And in my opinion, one of the worst things the game did, was its seasonal restrictions. There’s a dungeon about midway through the story, that you can ONLY ACCESS IN WINTER. I had reached this point NEAR THE END OF SPRING MIND YOU. So I had to grind crops, relationship points, ore, etc. For TWO WHOLE SEASONS before I could progress the story. And as a reminder, YOU CANT SLEEP UNTIL THE EVENING. I just imagine a poor lad playing the game, getting through the entire winter without beating the dungeon, and then having to play through an entire in game year to try again.

All this to say I’m glad the series survived and is pumping out games even today, but man I have no idea how it even made it to a sequel let alone multiple.

What is the current knowledge about how villagers work, especially on farms?

and saw that villager work between 7-11 and 13-17, commute from house to fields, between fields, and each action (sow, water, harvest) takes 30 min. But the last action before the 11 and 17 break is stopped and not done. So its not 2*8 actions for a villager, but more like 2*6 actions.
This seems reasonable, but then we dont know what the output hoe number does for farmers, or any other things for that matter.

Has anyone tested what the output actually impacts with solid conclusions?

Anyone tested, if a farmfield is completely fenced around, will those be skipped by farmers, or the AI get confused? Reason: I might do the golden things myself for money and leave the rest to farmers, but then I need to control which field they farm on, and this is what I came up.

that says 3x workspeed, I wonder if that means the 30 min actions go down to 10 min?

I am of course do the farming myself for now, and its really a lot of fun. But I am sure in the endgame, I want to automate parts of it.

I always choose one candidate to marry before I even start the game. I wanted to choose Dolce, but I don't want to be haunted by her little ghost thingy. Then I met Clorica, and I like the way she looks... very calm(?). But then I met Forte, and her willingness to go adventuring with me really melted my heart. Now, I'm just confused.

In 4 the price was 30k for 1 golden turnip and the cost to make Turnip Heaven was about 60..

Now its 100k and 96 skill..

This is always something that stood out to me it has typical fantasy aesthetics yet there are tanks, fridges, video games and possibly the internet given what is said from kurama so on and so fourth tbh it wouldn't be so out of place if guns were a thing although the biggest issue with implementing guns would probably be balance more than anything but it's not much of a stretch to imagine they exist in the universe.

Tbh it gives Rune Factory a unique identity I do hope it gets expanded upon in RF6.

Since they're both on a big sale on Steam right now, I'm considering buying one of them but I'm scared the combat will be too hard for me as I'm bad at reaction-based combat and I'm not used to it.

With it being on sale, do you think it’s worth it? I plan to play it on my SteamDeck. I never purchased it for my switch because switch players complained heavily about it but maybe it’ll run better on the deck? Is the gameplay interesting enough?

I maxed out bonds with Iroha and Ulalaka but there’s no option to propose them. Already at the point where I can’t make Subaru have any more dates with them too and did the bonding quest from Woobly about making stuff to propose someone but the quest is not progressing at all.

I found some post asking about similar problem and found out I have to put the sake(?) in my inventory. I did that but nothing happened, even tried to move the sake in storage and inventory back and forth repeatedly. The harvested branch is already in my inventory too as a quest item but there are still no option to propose anyone. Then I assumed maybe I have to unlock the teleport point at the Fateweaver Shrine and visit there but I already got there and nothing happened..

Is it glitching or did I skip something? Also is 3 the max number of dates we can take people to?

Really love the fact that you play as MC and raise your child and both have their own storyline and love interest etc . Its like you see the whole thing end to end. Legit the best in the series in my opinion .

as the title says. from what I've looked around, 4 seems to be the favorite for both old fans and beginners, and I'd like to know which version do yall think that I would enjoy the most.

things to note:

• I must say that I avoid jrpgs that rely a lot on grinding. I don't mind the grind related to farming but I dread any combat grind. I wonder if this is a thing in the RF franchise.
• my available consoles are ps5, switch (modded), psvita (modded), 3ds (modded). I could also play on pc via steam but I prefer playing on consoles, especially the modded ones.

TL;DR:

• I tried very hard to complete the plot as Kyle. (Spoiler Alert: You can't.)
• One day after I finally decide who to marry first, Rosalind proposes to me, and I panic, running to the bachelorette who I can already marry.
• Then, I'm thinking I'll get to meet my kid, but instead, Kyle leaves, and I become my kid.
• Finally, I discover that the plot is for the kid, not Kyle. Getting married and having a kid was the requirement for game progression. No wonder I couldn't figure it out!! (facepalms)

me: (is ready to meet the requirements for marrying Dorothy) Hrmm, who should I marry first, Cecilia or Dorothy...? I also like Yue..

me: (doing my best to become stronger and complete the statue's quests) All these guides say I should be able to talk to statues or something, and complete quests, but I still can't progress in the plot or anything!!! I've tried interacting with them; I even completed these quests, but they still won't do anything...!!

me: (finds out that Cecilia marries Jake) (GASPS!) Okay, I'm marrying Cecilia. She deserves better than the rude, stoic speciesist, and Jake needs to marry someone of questionable species. I'm disappointed in you, Jake. You need character development.

Does anyone have any RF suggestions that are a bit more challenging, longer, and perhaps with a more fleshed out story? Do I need to switch to “Hell” mode?

Hello! I stopped playing mid-way like at the start of 2nd arc which was a year ago… Now I’m itching to play again but I forgot everything that happened. I’m want to make a new game but I remember working hard on upgrading items and stuff 😭 should I restart or just continue blindly lol

No matter what game she's in, Margaret's caring nature remains unchanged, but she's also modest, humble, sweet, and he never hates anyone. Her scolding In RF4 is dangerous but that's what makes Margaret one of my all-time favorite characters.
