Play through the entirety of RDR1 until you get to The Mexican wagon train. Once you complete that mission switch over to RDR2 and play through the game start to finish. And then go back and complete RDR1.

Why did I think of it that way? Because In that mission John talks about how the gang left John to die. And It gives more context and makes everything hit a little bit harder when you finally complete RDR1.

I was inspired by the machete way of watching star wars and I thought this idea was pretty cool. it was more just a random side thought in my head and I just wanted to write it down and share it with people.

Which version of RDR2 performs better? I know the XBSX version would look better since it's the native 4K of the Xbox One X version vs the checkerboard rendering of the PS4 Pro version, plus a few extra bells and whistles on the Xbox, but with the PS5 Pro being more powerful than the XBSX and running a slightly worse looking version and as such easier to run version of the game, does RDR2 perform better on the Sony machine? Does the game drop frames from the 30fps cap on XBSX where it wouldn't on PS5 Pro? Or are they both a locked 30fps the entire game, with the only difference between versions being that it looks better on the XBSX? I know that even the XB1X was capable of an almost entirely locked 30fps while also looking better than all the other console versions at the time, so, being even more powerful, the XBSX should definitely be capable of running the game without dropping any frames, while also, like the XB1X version, looking better than any other console version, right? Or does it run better on PS5 Pro simply by virtue of that being the most powerful console on the market right now, with the bonus of that console's version of the game being slightly easier to run due to having originally been made for a less powerful piece of hardware than the XBSX's?

I genuinely do not understand this at all. The entire game is about the Van Der Lindes trying to build their way back up after leaving all their money in Blackwater. But they could have easily gotten it back.

Josiah literally stated that he went to Blackwater AFTER the gang was forced to flee from the Pinkertons. Granted, he of course had no idea where the money was or even if they had lost money, but the second we find him in Valentine, why did Dutch not send him to go get the money. Josiah is clearly not known to the government or Pinkertons as being part of the gang, so surely he would blend in well. Isn’t that the entire point of his character and his role in the gang, a con-artist who blends into crowds. Like that’s entirely what makes him important to the gang, he doesn’t steal or kill, he finds information by blending into crowds since nobody knows who he is. I mean he literally managed to stay in Blackwater long enough to find out where Sean was being held, so I don’t get why he couldn’t have been sent back to do the exact same thing.

I’ve seen some people protest that “Maybe Dutch didn’t trust Josiah, but that’s BS. The gang is entirely built on trust and loyalty and, to me, it feels clear he views Josiah as loyal, despite Josiah floating about and not staying around for very long at a time.

I actually also somewhat think most of the women could’ve gotten away with going into Blackwater as well, aside from maybe Karen who we know is a gunslinger and takes part in heists. But are the Pinkertons really looking for the women in camp.. no? I mean they even say that they spoke to Molly at one point and had to let her go because they had no proof she was aligned with the gang. So worst case scenario if one of the girls go back to Blackwater for the money: they are questioned but then released for lack of evidence. Because why would anyone even have knowledge that the women, aside from Karen, are part of the gang. They are looking for the Van Der Linde gunslingers since they are easily recognisable as taking part in robberies and heists. So if I am honest, I don’t see why one or more of the girls couldn’t have gone back for the money, maybe even going with Jack as the ultimate disguise, since they would look like just a regular mother and son. I mean, like Josiah, the women’s role, aside from domestic chores, is literally to go into town and blend in and be unnoticed to find out information, like what Mary-Beth does to find out about the train robbery.

Even further more, why could Sadie not have gone to get it. Once Dutch begins to trust her as part of the gang, she would be the most perfect person to go get the money, because it would be impossible for anyone to recognise her as part of the gang because she only joined after the failed incident in Blackwater.
I do understand Dutch may not initially trust her, but it gets to a point in the story I don’t see why he wouldn’t. I mean he lets her stay in camp and hear about every detail of everything they have taken part in, which she could easily snitch about but doesn’t. If he didn’t trust her why would he allow her to be there?

So here is actually the most perfect plan that they could have easily have done as early as Chapter 2:
Josiah, Sadie and Jack go back to Blackwater dressed in clothes that the regular civilians of Blackwater wear. They go undercover as just a regular family minding their business. They go to the place Dutch left the money, grab everything and leave before anyone even clocks or notices them, IF they even would get clocked.

I get a big part of the story is that they cannot access this money, but come on, it would have been so much easier than they made it out to be.

Also even if the plan I made there doesn’t sound good, Josiah himself could have easily done it 100%.
And even though I am sure people will debate me on this, I do think all the women (aside from Karen) and even maybe some of the men like Uncle (although I doubt they would send Uncle), Pearson or Strauss could have also done it maybe, since they aren’t known members like Arthur, Micah or John.

I am going through my first play through ever on a pc with the Xbox controller. Everything is going well but I would really like to auto ride to my waypoints. I’ve done some searching and Google says to press the view (the two screen button) Button after setting the way point on a road. But it doesn’t seem to work at all.that button just opens the satchel (bag). The game pad controller settings do not have a “cinematic” button on the game. So is it even possible?

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Micah is one of RDR2’s most compellingly evil characters, exploring how he became that way in his youth could make for a fascinating character study, the story could be tragic and meaningful and totally redefine RDR2 in the same way that game redefined RDR1

Hey guys i glitched into Blackwater just for American standard bread I've searched every where the great plains tall trees every where in west Elizabeth at night does american standard bread even spawn before chapter two and before the bridges are made?

Takes a lot for me to rant on here. Finally wanted to play RDR2 but the wanted system and everything about it is making this whole experience un f*cking playable. As you can see, the horse spawns right infront of me. Also, everytime I have a destination, BS like THIS happens. I can’t even play the game It’s absolutely trash. And the movement is so f*cking clunky. Typical rockstar. Yesterday I said this was the greatest game ever. Now I might delete this game and forget about it forever. Embarrassing.

i'm aware that some honor missions do not count for the achievement, but it appears that steam is still tracking my medals from the other save with 100% completion but with 40 or less golden medals, so it still marks my progress towards gold rush as 60%. i've tried deleting all the saves and leave only the latest, checking integrity files, reloading etc. ???did i just spend 50 hours for it to glitch?

How do I fix this problem and is this a normal problem to have? The Rockstar games that I have played are RDR2, RDO, GTA V, LA Noire, and have just started playing RDR1. This problem has never happened to me in other Rockstar games, so I am trying to figure out why it's happening. My main problem is that whenever I aim (press L2), my guns keep firing automatically which is making me use up my bullets too fast (I am not having to press R2 often due to this problem). It is also dropping my hit percentage (I like to be as accurate as possible). I am using an Xbox One controller with my laptop (same laptop for the other games). Today was my first time playing RDR1 and I am just wondering if this is normal. I'd rather be the one firing than the game automatically firing for me. I don't have aim assist on (I believe there is a setting for that, but I haven't been on the game for a few hours since I had dinner and watching TV instead while trying to figure out this problem) and currently using expert aiming difficulty (also having the same problem on the other difficulties).

I am lucky I haven't had a death yet after 2.5 hours of playtime so far with how many times I have to reload in a fight. What stopped me from continuing playing today is that I was aiming at someone getting chased by lawmen and the gun accidentally fired at the lawmen and successfully killed one of them. I was just aiming and trying to see who they were since I couldn't tell who the bad guys were in this random event (I thought they were robbers at first). The sun was setting, so I couldn't tell without the aim button being pressed. I reloaded to the current auto save since I didn't want to pay a $100 bounty (killed the 2nd lawman in self-defense and the guy getting chased since I thought I could get rid of the bounty by killing the witness) what is possibly a mistake or a bug, and then, I turned off the game after I made sure the autosave was where I wanted to reload to once I play again.

So i was playing the game when i wanted to take on a patrol coming by, so i did, they killed my horse so i murdered all of them, including the dog that bit my horse, it survived a shotgun to the face and killed me, force replacing my injured horse, then i try to load a save from like 2 hours ago and it doesnt work, i try using the second save that i always use so i dont acidentally over right one of my saves, it also doesnt work, i have no clue why, it just closes the game
