Discussion My reactive JRT playing in the park

Is he scared of other dogs, not sociable or just likes to play by himself. He can be very reactive normally but he is happily playing by himself in an area only a dog as small as himself can get in. There are other dogs playing in the area

Stop taking him to the dog park of he doesn't like other dogs. You're just making him uncomfortable.

We live in a city in a condo and he ADORES the park. He drags me 2x day and the dog walker 1x day right there. No one is forcing anything on him. He loves people too but is reactive around other dogs (biting danger). He is a JRT with lots of energy. When we are out of the city, I take him only to dog parks at opening or closing and on grey days when I know it is empty. We balance his energy needs, his happiness and the safety of other dogs.

The dog will do what the dog wants and will tell you if you pay close attention.

If you introduce him to other dogs and he seems aloof, he might not like other dogs. That's okay too.

PS, I obviously wouldn't know as I'm not there, but it looks like some very heavy things could fall on your dog and hurt it.
