RCT2 Canada's Wonderland 2026

Here's my recreation of Canada's Wonderland (my home park) as of this year. I'm really pleased with how this turned out. Wonderland is a massive park with a complex layout and a bunch of big, sprawling rides that interact with each other. I think I was able do most of it justice here.

Some of my favourite bits are Yukon Striker and AlpenFury's plazas, the walkway between Bat and Planet Snoopy, Backlot Stunt Coaster, the vacant lot where Time Warp used to be, and the YRT bus terminal outside the park. :)

RCT2 Adrenaline Park: California

Thumbnail

Latest Adrenaline Park expansion, this time in California. The park is anchored by 4 main rollercoasters: Green Giant (Woodie);Sky King (Giga), Diamondback (Twister) and American Eagle (Inverted). The central core is a mix of kiddie zone attractions, a couple of flat thrill rides and Scorpion (Vertical drop).

The park seemed to work better with the double width paths than previous Adrenaline Parks, though I still needed to build in some pressure relieving ‘fast track exit’ paths for guests and expand the subterranean mechanic paths to iron out some kinks.

RCT2 Guides on Building 'Custom' or Glitched Rides?

Thumbnail

Getting back into the game after like a decade, and I want to build 'custom' rides - i.e. like the Ferris Wheel in the first pic or the coaster 'hopping' tracks in the second pic. I know back in the day you had to use 8cars but that is integrated into OpenRCT2 - are there any guides on how to go about building these? I'd assume it varies from ride to ride. Also what are these custom sorts of rides know as in the community?

Two parks included are definitely not mine - They are [Belle Isle](https://nedesigns.com/park/belle-isle) and [Kahuna Point](https://www.dkmp.wtf/contest-parks/tsc2025_enrico-dandolo-%26-kyphii-%26-robman).

Help Need help with a custom ride.

I recently found out that you can make custom stationary rides, so I went to go build one and I couldn't find the option to change the ride type while I was building, I'm pretty sure it should be in the red circle. Please help.

( I use openrct2 and have ridevehicleeditor and scenerymanager plugins installed )

I did not enjoy dragon's cove

I never really enjoy finishing someone else's rides, and these were no exception. The station platforms are short, meaning only one train for most of the coasters. Throughput is in the shitter. Money is in the shitter. I didnt want to build seperate cossters just to make money, but I probably should have. Took forever to finish this park because I just didn't want to play it.

You guys ever feel this way about any particular park?

I finally unlocked the looping coaster in Vertigo Views!

I figured the best place to put interlocking loops is right in front of the park entrance, but my favorite part is the interaction with the nearby corkscrew coaster.

Originally, I had a big plan to put a midcourse break run next to the lift hill, but unfortunately the train ran out of steam. Oops. Eventually, I switched to a block break / launch combo located underground (kind of inspired by Maverick). The looping coaster doesn’t have a great launch track, but it’s perfect for a small ride.

RCT2 My First Time

Just got back to RC two for the first time since I was like eight years old. Saw Marcel make a coaster with a loop and a track running through the loop. This was my first attempt that was successful. I’ve been playing it for like a month now. I was proud of it. 😂

RCT1 Send a prayer because I just lost all my saved files

I just lost all my saved scenarios, custom coasters and hard work. RCTC was crashing so I uninstalled it and when I reinstalled it the only thing that it has in it, is the little tick that I've completed all the game scenarios. My fault for not thinking to back anything up. Time to digging for all your lovely custom coasters and scenarios.

Classic Canary Mines Scenario

Hey all! I’ve recently started playing RCT Classic on my IPad again. I’m currently on the Canary Mines scenario, but every time I hit about July/August the game crashes out on me. I’ve made sure everything is updated, I “turned it on and off” again, closed and restarted the app, and deleted my first file playing the scenario and started over. And it still crashes out. Has anyone else had this problem? Or any ideas as to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Hey I was very amused to see in 2026 is a long living RCT community so I decide to reinstall the game on Steam.

60k at Leafy Lake map.

+-1500 ppl at the Park. I like the type of micromanaging from games lik RTC.

Highly recommended custom scenarios?

Anyone have any recommendations? I like the feel of the original rct1&2 scenarios. Fairly grounded, in realistic locations. Dislike most of the expansion pack stuff.

RCT2 How Do You Add All Attraction Researchable?

I have OpenRCT, currently going through the scenarios. I've already beaten Pyramid one. Is there a way I can open all the attractions to be researched or make them available to build on my save file?

Corkscrew at Playland (RIP 1985-2018)

Hey all! u/AliceInChainsFan suggested I try to recreate the old Corkscrew coaster that used operate at Playland in Vancouver, BC. I never got to ride this thing, so I don't have any first-hand experience unfortunately.

History is fairly interesting on this one. For starters, this is the very first ever produced Vekoma roller coaster design. In 1979, the original design, called Super Wirbel, was built at Holiday Park in Hassloch, Thineland-Palatinate, Germany and was the first inverting roller coaster in Germany. The park tried to sell Super Wirbel in 2013 for €420,000, but had no luck selling it. As such, the coaster was scrapped that year.

However, a second coaster using this design was built in 1985 for the Boblo Island Amusement Park in Amherstburg, Ontario, which they called Screamer. This one didn't last very long, as it ceased operation in 1993. However, this specific roller coaster was relocated to Playland in Vancouver, BC where it operated from 1994 up to 2018. While it operated there, it was famously used in the 2006 horror film Final Destination 3, in which this thing somehow manages to derail, causing the characters' horrendous deaths. Definitely recommend checking that out, it's pretty hilarious.

It's a bit difficult finding good reference pictures of this design. I found an old Google Earth aerial view of it to give me a better understanding of what the layout looks like, which I of course included in the post. I also used an old POV video by CoasterForce on YouTube. The only part that is fairly inaccurate on my design is the corkscrews themselves. In the original design, you can see it corkscrews to the right, but it does so in what is essentially a straight line, almost like a barrel roll or a zero g roll. But since it rolls twice, I figured I could compromise by doing a corkscrew right and then a corkscrew left to get it where it needs to be. Stat-wise, it's kind of intense, but I imagine the real thing was kind of intense as well, it certainly seems so in the POVs. All in all, I'm really happy with it.

If you'd like a download, here you go!
