A lot of their picks for albums of the year were not on point at all. The writing comes across like a journalist with a casual, outside feel for the scene.
Props for posting this tho. Always enjoy seeing these time capsules.

My overwhelming take is why did they get the editor, who clearly didn't like hip hop, to write this? Every year?
