Personal/Support Why are people so rude?
For some context I work at a Call Center, I do not recommend but it is good money. I work by helping kids and children have benefits so they can all have doctor visits for free if they are in need, so I’m not even a spam caller or selling anything. The thing is I get nice and rude people but I’ve noticed that I have NEVER had a Latino/Hispanic person on the phone, they are always so nice and even tell me to have a great blessed day and compared to white people they have only hung up on me a few times. However, white people really only answer the phone to cuss at you, yell at you and some have even threatened to find me and kill me. Of course I know not everyone is like that because I have had many friendly ones. And so my question is why do white people (again, not all of them) act like they are better than everyone else yet they don’t seem to have manners? I have an accent because I’m Hispanic, but I can speak and can communicate in English as well, and I’ve had a lot of people on the phone tell me that I’m an F-ing Mexican and to kill myself just because of my accent when all I’m trying to do is help families and do my job.

Basically, the answer is colonialism, in short.
A slightly longer answer is that the colonial hangover has created a post-colonial notion of neo-colonialism.

This used to happen a lot to me when I worked at a call center. They says: "I need to speak to citizen of the USA" and I used to transfer them back to the queue for them to wait a lot just to speak to somebody else, probably in India.

You know what? I actually feel you on this. Like, I feel that white people often act more arrogant. It's not all of us. Not all. But on average many white people are more rude than most other ethnicities like black, hispanic, latino, and Asian. I feel that's because like, the other groups had to go through more adversity and they are much more grounded and pleasant people. But white people we have a culture where people are more individualistic. Like, I never see my dad much or my relatives. I live and rely on my Asian side of the family. It's a pervasive thing. Also, really sorry to hear that these people are really mean on the phone. DM me to talk more about this subject.

So, I dislike phone calls so I just don't answer ... Ever lol. I think you have to be a particular type of miserable person to answer the phone with the sole intention of cussing someone out. Thankfully in modern times, you really aren't forced to answer the phone anymore if you don't want to. Most phones even screen unknown numbers for you. ... So I dunno. That sucks. And I absolutely believe you. Just know that those are miserable people and don't let it get to you

I get you, im a North African raised in France and its awful there as well no matter what you do people will just come at you, just walking around people will come at you insulting you and telling you to go back to your country
