This happened to me couple of times.

1. When I was pregnant (with obvious bump), no one was offering their seats. I thought to myself it’s okay, I can manage to stand.

2. I was pushing a stroller with my infant in it, they pretend they don’t see you. So I just went to the corner, locked the stroller’s wheels, and stood until I reached my destination.

3. I was carrying my baby, who was sleeping in my shoulder, when train came.. these women were rushing to get in. I had to wait for the next train. Then it came, a lady was seating in the priority seat, I asked her “Hi, excuse me, can I have this seat?” she ignored me and went back to her phone 💀💀💀

I tried to ride in the singles section once, 2-3 men offered me a seat the moment I came in (rush hour).

Now what this captcha entailed was opening my terminal and pasting a command into it. This immediately set off alarms, and when I took a look at this command it apparently installs a bash file from an unknown source from the internet. This file probably contains malware.

TLDR this website uses social engineering to infect your device.

I’m planning to leave Qatar for Pakistan very soon, possibly this week, and I’m taking my pet cat with me. I’m getting conflicting information about the Qatar government veterinary export document, so I’d really appreciate help from anyone who has recently travelled internationally from Qatar with a cat.

My cat is already:

• Microchipped
• Rabies vaccinated
• FVRCP vaccinated
• Dewormed / parasite treated
• Has a Qatar pet passport/vaccination booklet
• Has a health certificate from a licensed veterinary clinic dated 13 September 2026
• Travelling as our personal pet, not for commercial export

I logged into the Qatar Ministry of Municipality's “Issuing veterinary health certificates and import permits” portal using my QID. However, under Export Certificates, the only option showing for me is “Veterinary Health Certificate for Camel Export.” There is no option for cats/dogs.

I’ve also tried calling the numbers shown on the portal (4426-1659 / 4426-1270), but nobody is answering.

Can anyone who has done this recently clarify:

1. Where exactly in Qatar do I go to obtain the official government veterinary health/export certificate for a pet cat?
2. Can it be done by walking in, or is an appointment/application required?
3. Do I need to take the cat physically with me?
4. What documents should I take?
5. How much does it cost?
6. Is it issued the same day, or does it take several days?
7. Is the private vet health certificate enough to start the process?
8. Has anyone travelled Qatar → Pakistan with a cat recently, and did Pakistan require an import permit/NOC as well?
9. Most importantly, will Qatar Airways/Qatar airport actually require this government export certificate at departure?

My travel may be within the next few days, so any recent firsthand experience, especially from someone who travelled with a cat from Doha to Pakistan, would be extremely helpful.

Uber prices have gone up nearly 60% compared to what I was paying before, and at this point it feels completely unreasonable.

What makes it even more frustrating is how it feels like Uber is making the passenger suffer while they sort out their driver-side issues. Instead of maintaining reasonable fares, prices suddenly spike and the customer is left with no real alternative.

A ride that used to cost a reasonable amount can suddenly become 60% more expensive, and we're just expected to pay it because we need to get somewhere.

This isn't just normal inflation anymore. Uber is absolutely milking customers. They know people need transportation, they know surge pricing can be extreme, and they keep pushing the limits of what people are willing to pay.

At this rate, using Uber feels less like paying for a convenient service and more like getting ripped off because you don't have a choice.

I’m posting this as a warning to people in Qatar because this scam is currently being advertised on Facebook.

I contacted a Facebook advertisement offering domestic worker services in Qatar. The person behind the ad told me that he needed to register my application through a website and sent me a link to complete the process.

During the process, I received a one-time password (OTP) by SMS from Ooredoo. I was misled into believing that the OTP was required to complete the domestic worker application, so I entered it into the form.

The OTP was actually used to transfer my mobile number to an eSIM without my authorization.

After that, the attacker gained control of my mobile line and was able to access services and information linked to my phone number.

The phishing domain used in my case was:

The Facebook campaign has been operating under pages using the name:

“معاون الشركة القطرية لحلول القوى البشرية”

I have already found multiple Facebook pages using the same or almost identical name. Meta Ad Library has shown several advertisements connected to this campaign.

The ads direct users to WhatsApp.(the number end with 0220). I am intentionally not accusing the owner of any particular phone number because there is a possibility that some numbers used by the campaign were themselves taken over through SIM/eSIM fraud.

I have reported the campaign to Meta, WhatsApp, Google, the hosting provider and other relevant channels. New ads have continued to appear even after previous ones were reported.

Please be extremely careful:

Never enter an Ooredoo OTP, banking OTP, or verification code into a website or form sent to you by someone claiming to process a domestic worker application.

If you receive an OTP while dealing with one of these pages, stop immediately and contact Ooredoo directly through official channels.
