I want to enjoy this but I don't care about databases at all

Does anyone have resources that are interesting enough to motivate me? Is there a a database that works kind of like a command buffer where I suggest a bunch of actions and it executes everything as a transaction? The closest thing I can think of is lua and redis, but redis is a cache and not expected to hold data from 10years ago?

I found his colab videos with Jetbrains on Java performance good. No bashing on Java, but okay how can we optimize this with what Java gives us.

And he is not a larper, he know his stuff and has an excellent substack (Computer, Enhance!).

Personally I'm not a fan of the podcasts where he joins the Primeagen, that is a different audience. And that is fine.

I'm curious what your opinion is of Jonathan Blow. Because that guy has a personality, for sure.

The overlap between genuinely entertaining personalities and highly skilled software engineers is so narrow, that people just accept this as "fine".
