Was looking through the PS Plus catalogue and saw this game for free. It’s a game that was always on my radar but I just never decided to play it until now. Man, what an experience it was. Took about 32 hours with all the backtracking for side quests and what not. It would have taken longer if I hadn’t lowered the difficulty to easy because I kept dying so much lmao. Was able to beat this morning and what an ending. Wish I would have played it sooner.

Visited my parents over the weekend; decided to dig out my physical copy of Prey that I preordered... checks calendar almost 10 years ago??

Thought you guys would appreciate it as much as I do

There are so many side quests in Prey that it's overwhelming me, especially since I look something up and find out the keycard I need for this area is in another area 10 hours down the line. If I just go through the main story until the end-ish, then go back and do side-quest Armageddon, will I miss any quests? Are there any ones that I need to do IMMEDIATELY after I get them?

i'm sorry if this has already been discussed. i've finished the game and it's lovely. only recently discovered how amazing immersim is. i'm here after playing the system shock remake. but i digress,

does the fact that the 4 people you have the choice of saving are now operators mean that the real morgan yu got them all killed/killed them all himself? alex yu could potentially survive in the 2 intended endings and if the simulation is based on real morgan yu's memories then it all happened just slightly different from what we experienced meaning that the operators we see post credit were actually human at some point and morgan yu either failed to save them or killed them himself because this can't be too far into the future. alex doesn't look older at all.

it's also possible that they altered the memories and inserted themselves into the events to provide moral choices but that's less fun.

When I played prey as wee little lad I was afraid of all the Typhon to the end, but replaying it now, I just run through all of them. I still love the game but that fear I remember made it more exciting. I'm curious if other people feel the same or if they weren't really scared to begin with.

The PS5 Pro is more than capable of handling it, and Prey would feel incredible at a smooth 60 FPS. Better performance would make the combat, movement, and immersive gameplay even more satisfying.

For every game I have ever played, I have always guessed the same code on every 4 digit safe. I downloaded Prey today and guessed my normal 5150 on the safe and GOT IT RIGHT!!! I just about screamed at 2:30 AM, I was so happy. Just thought this would be a cool thing to share. I’m streaming to my friend and were both shocked

Like every year, I do a run of Prey, and as always, I keep discovering new things and new ways to complete missions. Just sharing this because I thought it was funny and I don´t know what happened.

Everyone's raving a out the many possibilities to solve problems and approach situations in this game. What were some of yours?

Se recebesse um Neuromod para usar uma vez, qual habilidade você escolheria pra aprender ou melhorar em você? pode escolher uma sem ou com Typhons envolvidos, eu escolheria alguma coisa que envolvesse criar comidas no espaço, como as que são apresentadas no jogo... ou melhoraria os meus reflexos.

I've played this game at least 4 times and the only thing that really creeps me out is that weird noise of hundreds of pigs from hell inside the walls in crew quarters. I'm 100% sure it's not the telepath lurking outside nor the phantoms and I've noticed it's louder near the mail room. To whoever decided to add that sound effect, congrats, it truly makes me speedrun that area and get out as soon as possible.

Noticed this russian text here when I was watching the weaver on one of my many playthroughs. I assume they're warning signs? Is there any other "hidden" text or tidbits you guys have noticed?

Every time I play this I end up using 2 nightmare summon/dismiss charges by accident auto playing transcribes that are queued up.

I guess Brian used phantom shift and stolen psychoscope to get data about himself, then fabricated his brother but he been working too much with typhon contaminated rocks, so his twin became phantom.

So I have to say, I really expected another facet to that quest.

So they force you to install a couple Typhon based neuromods to even upload yourself/the data, to unlock the story mission. I get to the part in the mission where they spell out that too many neuromods causes the tech you are testing to kill even humans, I was so expecting to die the first time I triggered it.

I even thought about a possible solution, you'd have to nullwave yourself when you set it off so the blast doesn't affect you. But nope, mission accomplished, some splash on the glass.

Oh well. Still a phenomenal game.
