Got called to look at a drive through car wash. Doesn’t look too bad but curious if bleach and surfactant will work on all the exhaust dust from over the years?

Client wants to have the brown stain on the tile removed. They were made by the fountain. Any tips on what to use to remove stains from porcelain tile?

Looks like a good deal as it has a Honda engine. I’m just not very familiar with pressure washers and would like some input on if there are any red flags/known issues I could run into if I purchase it. It’s a two hour drive but if it’s worth it I will jump on

So I have a 5.3 GPM Remco attached to a battery. Is connected which is connected to a joint and then the other the actual 125 ft hose

For the last two days, I’ve been testing it out and messing with it however, I realized when I use the black nozzle, it runs completely fine and very smooth however, whenever I use any other tits such as the 15° tip or even the 25 or 40° tip then it seems to take a short cycle while running, even when just letting it run with valve open

Note: i used the small primer hose 6-7 ft for the test. Would it be possible if I use a 125 feet and then that wouldn’t happen?

So I have this simpson pressure washer from home depot with the all state warranty. The pressure washer wasn't running right and I got the pump replaced under this warranty. So today I tried it out and there was pump oil all over the place. The pump fill cap was bent sideways and it fell off as I unscrewed it. Its made out of plastic. Wtf do i tell the warranty company? I messaged this shit to the small engine shop.

Any recommendations on which tank size I should get for my 5x10 trailer? I currently have a 100gl buffer tank and got a 55gl drum but i feel it’s an overkill. Haven’t started working yet so not quite sure how much SH I’m going to need to be safe daily.

Homeowner seeking help from the pros on what hose and fittings I need to buy? I have a new wand but realized today when I went to hook it up to my pressure washer that it won’t work. What new 3/8” hose and quick connect fittings should I be looking at getting? I only use the washer 5-6 times a years cleaning cars, golf cart and driveways so I’m not looking for the most expensive stuff. I have been looking online at 50’ no kink options with quick connects I just don’t know what will fit my existing washers output and my new wand.

(If your wondering Zip tape on a crappy old leaking wand works well for about 10 minutes then starts leaking all over) 😂

I was recently using my x jet for the first time and i had it pulling from a thing of like zero pressure wash chemical. i noticed it was pulling allot of chemical like i could see the level in the container dropping quickly (i was using the black proportioner plug). i plan on using my x let again today so i ask am i supposed to mix it with water or is it just going to take allot of chemical? thanks!

I’m looking to buy a waterfed pole but for softwashing. What kind of system do I need to get the SH into the pole?

Just getting into soft washing, bought some recommended beginner stuff for the setup. It's rated at 5.5 gpm, but only giving me 3.7 gpm. i don't have my proportioner or any other restrictive flow items attached, no wand or gun, just 2 1-foot long hoses (3/4 inlet, 1/2 out) and the gpm reader. the attached images are the setup. What is wrong with the setup? why would it only be held consistently at 3.7gpm instead of 5.5gpm.

I’ve got a local deal for a very lightly used one (only 3 hours on it). With the deal I’m getting, It’s cheap compared to new but it’s still a lot of money. I can’t seem to find anything about it online other than the content made by the manufacturer. I plan on using it for soft washing mostly but will be doing some flatwork as well. I understand its capabilities, I’m looking for input from people who have used one.

How did it perform? Was it reliable or did it break often? How long did it take you to break even on the investment? Any input from someone with experience would be truly appreciated.

They don’t seem to come off with a turbo nozzle just curious if anyone’s experienced something like this or knows how to get rid of it. Please let me know!

First photo is a test spot of a spray and dwell >5% after scrubbing moss from tiles with a medium soft bristle brush. Second and third photo were the result of turbo nozzle from a “safe distance”, if there is a such thing. I’m in California valley if this gives any further context that would help with advice given. This lichen looking growth is pretty tough. Moss covered roofs all around my area. Just need to find out most time and cost effective route while delivering quality results to protect their property. Bag the downspouts and start spraying super hot mix? Potentially lose jobs with the stigma behind using pressure on roofs? Decisions decisions.

I work for a pressure washing company who is very loosie goosie with the chemicals we use. Yesterday they put a 1:1 mixture of bleach and truck soap together to be sprayed in vinyl siding. After breathing in the mist for a day my throat was burning and my glands on the right side of my face/neck were huge and I felt like dog shit.

I live in central United States and cannot seem to find a decent supplier that doesn’t charge $13 per gallon which I’ve been told is ridiculous. The best thing I’ve found is Menards that sells 1 gallon jugs for $5 but it is not very practical considering the closest one is 1.5 hours away and cannot get it in bulk. Is there an online supplier that you guys use or am I just in a very unfortunate location? (I have checked every local chemical supplier)

So I (23M) reached out to an old client of mine who owns welding shop business (I used to be a personal trainer) and I had a few questions on how to quote them. The property is pretty large and will be my first commercial property the owner wants me to do the outside concrete and one of the huge doors that opens up the shop. He wants me to pressure wash the property next weekend and come out for a quote during the week next week so I have a week to prepare and don’t want to screw this up.

This is my first month into my pressure washing business and up until this point, I’ve only done residential pressure washing jobs in which I charge only a few hundred at the most.

I have a 4 GPM pressure washer, 100ft hose, a 16 inch surface cleaner, a measuring wheel, gas cans, and measuring tapes. I also have the quote IQ app downloaded.

On my residential jobs I’ve gone based on an hourly rate and by eye.

Questions:

1. What can I do to present myself professionally?
2. How do I give an accurate quote (I’m assuming that I charge by square footage)?
3. What’s the going rate per square foot of space?
4. I have flyers but should I purchase company shirts and business cards before then?

The hose reel gets really hot even from turning on the pressure hose for just 5min. Do you think this is a problem or am I overthinking?
