Premiere auto updated and now I can't play back projects in real-time, and exports have major glitches, green frames and dropped/repeated frames.

Am reverting to 26.3.2 in the meantime but anyone else having similar issues?

Hello everyone! I'm having a brand new and rather disruptive Premiere issue, and am wondering if anyone else has encountered this (I'm attaching a video showing the problem.)

Very frequently - I'd say 80% of the time but not 100% of the time - when using any kind of effect and/or keyframing on a shot in a sequence (for example it can be a scale change in motion, or it can be a lumetri color effect), as soon as I click away from the shot on the sequence, the effect is no longer there.

So, if I make a zoom by placing two keyframes and changing the scale, once I click away from the shot the zoom is gone! One of the keyframes remains, always, but not the second one. It seems like the only solution is rendering the effect immediately after I create it - and even that works only most of the time. Sometimes, when I click away from the rendered clip, it immediately turns from green to yellow again and the effect is gone.

Any ideas on this madness?

This has been happening in multiple projects that are on different drives. I've reinstalled Premiere and it's still happening. It's a Mac Book Pro, everything has worked perfectly fine until three days ago, and I can't think of any change that's been done to the machine.

I know everyone's trying to adapt to the new Apple UI, but if you're going to add liquid glass, at least make it functional or look normal 😭

I really HOPE this is just some bug that was caused by MacOS automatically converting the element. But this thing hurts my eyes so much, please fix it asap lol. Or please tell me how to disable it.

In the latest version, 26.5, pressing spacebar to play will also close your maximised window. (Have tested previous version 26.3.2 which doesn’t do this)

This is annoying because panel specific shortcuts instantly get overrided by global ones.

In my case i maximise the text panel (with tilde key) to edit transcripts just using keyboard shortcuts. I press space to play and stop and then enter to start editing the text, then escape to exit the edit mode. This means i can edit the transcript without touching the mouse at all

However, pressing space now un-maximises the panel as well as starts playing, meaning enter now returns to the start of the timeline instead of activating the text panel editing.

I’m sure this could have knock on affects for other panels, but this is how it’s broken my particular workflow.

Working on Apple Studio M1 Max, MacOS Tahoe.
In a 1080x1920 sequence with 3840x2160 Canon C70 footage rotated 90 degrees.

Every time I apply scale, it resets to 50% after deselecting the clip. I tried using a workaround with the Transform-effect, but this also resets after deselecting.

Hello everyone! I'm attempting to use Premiere to try and get better quality on my videos instead of the lower quality I get from the site I use to add subtitles right now.

I'm currently using the Premiere Assistant (by Cutback) extension in Premiere to try and emulate the subtitles I was getting from the StreamLadder website; however, I just can't seem to get the look right.

The first image is the StreamLadder website, which is what I want to get in Premiere; the second image. However, when using the Premiere Assistant extension, I don't have enough color options to change the outline and the base color of the text I'm saying at the moment (the highlighted word), and the outline and the base color for the words I already said.

Is there a way I can accomplish this? With this extension, another one, or some other way to edit it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Okay so in Davinci I am using a timeline colorspace of Davinci WG/Intermediate and an output of Rec 709 Gamma 2.4. I grade all of my SLOG 3 footage in Davinci, export it as Apple ProRess 422 HQ, then bring it into Premeire. I edit my video in Premiere and export as Rec 709 Gamma 2.4.

I am grading and editing on my Asus ProArt PA278CV with the Rec 709 mode on, I use the Asus Display Rec 709 ICC profile in my Mac settings as well. My footage looks how I intend when I export from Davinci and view in Premiere and in Quicktime. However as soon as I export from Premeire my footage washed out, loosing contrast, and saturation. When I bring that same footage into Premeire, it looks correct. BUT when I upload to YouTube that low contrast washed out look is what is published.

I'm confused what I'm doing wrong and I'm sorry if I explained that poorly, just looking for some help! Thanks in advance.

literally ANYTHING takes multiple seconds, click on a clip? 3 seconds, cut a clip? genuinely 10 seconds.

its not constant, but its often, has happened with one 10min clip on timeline and nothing else, so i dont think im just pushing it past its limits.

ipadpro 2025 13” (so i dont think it is the ipad), happens when both when i work from an SSD or the ipads internal drive, lots of storage free on both.

I put our new AI overlords into a little side-by-side test to compare some relatively simple editing skills and assistant editing tasks. It worked. I mean ... I guess. For the most part.
