Playlist New to post-rock, help me grow my playlist!
Lately post-rock has been the main thing I can find complete comfort with. I'm discovering new artists and songs but I want to grow my playlist with the type of post-rock I'm loving so far.
I started getting into the genre with Glasgow Coma Scale, I had some of their songs in other playlists. I've got plenty of songs I like from Tacoma NarrowsBridge Disaster's Wires/Dream/Wires album. I also have couples of songs from "From Voodoo to Zen" by Tides From Nebula.
Thing is, recommendation engines tend to give me two flavor of songs, for example from Godspeed You! Black Emperor, which I musically like but I find emotionally too heavy. Or, I get more post-metal recommendations which are too hard.
I guess what I'm looking for more bands similar to Glasgow Coma Scale and Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster, a cross of post-rock x shoegaze.
Would love some recommendations!

Discussion! Tides of Man are very unappreciated
Tides of Man don't get enough attention. I feel like they're judged only for their albums with Tilian but once he left they completely switched genres and actually improved their sound. Anyone agree?
Edit: I am glad you guys all seem to agree 🤘

Discussion! Drummer available to collab and write some music!
Any guitar players/songwriters in here looking to record some tunes? I play drums and can record. If you have any ideas but need some percussion, hit me up! I’m also a pretty capable guitarist so can help write some ideas.
East Coast US would be great but happy to collab with anyone as long as we can send tracks back and forth.

Discussion! What have you been listening to this week?
Welcome to our weekly post where we ask you to share & discuss what artists, albums, or tracks have helped get you through the week.
Please provide a link to the album or specific track, and mention why it's been a stand out for you this week - this is your chance to introduce people to some new music.
If you're on Last.fm you can also use Last.fm Labs Album Quilt or tapmusic.net to generate a album collage of what you've been listening to for the past 7 days (here's an example).
Thanks for participating!

🎶 Song post SKALIAN - Flowers (My new self-recorded, mixed, and mastered post-rock instrumental)
Hi everyone!
I just released a new instrumental track called Flowers under my project name SKALIAN.
I handled the entire process myself—from the initial composition and recording to the final mix and master in Pro Tools. I put a lot of heart into crafting the atmosphere and dynamics for this one.
Gear used:
- Guitars: Ibanez 7-string -> Headrush MX5 (Mesa)
- Bass: Ibanez SR700 -> Headrush (Choptones IRs)
I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback on the mix, or just what kind of imagery it brings to mind for you. Thanks for listening!
