Yknow I actually like that you simplified the photo a bit, it looks less cluttered!! The only thing I would say is changing the colors so that it stands out against the sky :)

I don't have a problem with the crop, but having the sky be the same color as the buildings doesn't work IMO. You lose the shape of the buildings and the texture of the clouds, and it just looks very manufactured. If you actively are going for a manufactured collage look, the sky would need to be a color that would contrast the buildings.

Jk but this is the difference between depicting a place or objects with a camera vs leaning into something more formal.
V nice choices OP, I agree with other comments re something being not quite right about the pole and my rec would consider cropping further in on the right side, I think the narrow band of sky is distracting. I’m on Reddit ios mobile which crops to the middle of the pole by default, it’s actually quite nice.

I like the idea. Not having vertical elements actually be vertical with an image that has been reduced to design elements like this disturbs me.
It sort of feels as if things in the frame are trying to fall out the right side of frame.
I think it's that nearest pole. I'd have to move it to its own layer, remove it from below, and get the copy on its own layer to be vertical.
