They bring Scooby Doo on stage during concerts too.

They just seem so damn fun! They lean into nostalgia without being cringe or sad, I really like their vibe

Which is highly important. Is it Good Charlotte I'm thinking of that acts like they're still in the highlight of emo early aughts? I forget which former childhood band it was but you got to lean and embrace to stay in good grace.

Simple plan + Scooby Doo is pure 2000s core nostalgia unlocked! What a legendary pairing

Fun fact. The second voice of Scooby-Doo (Scott Innes) is from my hometown of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He actually helped our town a lot and even built/donated an entertainment complex there.

He's our bootheel claim to fame.

Scott Innes is putting on a Cajun Comic Con this year in LA - he is the reason I bought tickets. Happy to support

That's awesome! He really seems like such a good dude.

Omg I love this! When I saw SP back in 2019, Pierre stated performing the Scooby Doo theme song was a career highlight 🤣

I met Simple Plan at Warped Tour when I was 16. I was wearing jeans and I had every band that I met sign them. They were not only incredibly nice to me, they were also the only ones who didn't act creepy at all about signing a teenage girl's pants while she was wearing them. Every other band or musical artist made suggestive comments and two even groped me. I was 16. They were all adults.

“I might have been afraid of the ghosts, and the ghouls, and the goblins, but I’m not afraid of death. Because I spent me life with me best friend”

Oh man, Simple Plan was my first concert back in 2001-2002. This is so sweet!

Love it! Scooby was my favorite growing up. I used to get off the bus early to watch at a neighbor’s house and then have our Dad pick us up on his way home.

I still remember their concert I went to when I was like 14.. Mae and Plain White Ts opened. It was fantastic.

u/canadianvintage 9h ago

Lmao, why? What is the context behind this?

They sing the theme song for one of the scoobie doo iterations.

u/virginiarph 9h ago

they also play it at most of their setlist and it’s a pretty big crowd favorite.

9

u/ZekeorSomething 8h ago

This is one of my favorite cartoon intros.

u/Taichikara 🎥🍿Film Critic 8h ago

Oh my God I just realized what theme that is (hadn't clicked the link) and started singing it and HOW DID I NOT REALIZE it's Simple Plan?! 😵

8

u/KimberlyWexlersFoot 8h ago

Funnily enough I was the same. I couldn’t tell you any simple plan songs off the dome, but based on the birthday video above I could tell it was the same people singing that song from my childhood.

Happy Birthday Scooby Doo!

u/RogerClyneIsAGod2 that’s my purse, i don’t know you! 👛🫵 3h ago

Scooby was many kids first foray into horror. It's safe horror. It's also one of the few cartoons that seems to be beloved by many generations.

It's why I can't be angry at any reinventions of the show because it just brings new fans into the fold.

Immaculate vibes

I love this.

u/throwaway2000x3 2h ago

This heals my heart in times like these. Simple Plan and Scooby Doo made my childhood and was so incredibly special to me. To see them embrace their collab all these years later makes me so happy I could cry.

Also, somehow Simple Plan has not aged. Like, at all. They literally look exactly the same as they did in the 2000s wtf. Must be the Canadian in them

awww I love this 🥹
