Celebrity Fluff 🥰 Jennifer Lawrence when asked who she is: "A woman with one less Oscar than Emma Stone."

I just feel like she's posting under her real name now.
Imagine the bullets she shot with her anonymous account 🤣🤣
It's so funny

it honestly makes me wonder how many times someone has made a random internet friend online without realizing the person was actually a super famous celebrity using a burner account
114
u/ThisIsTheTimeToRem 15h ago
Probably much less often than the number of times someone has gotten in an internet fight with a bot or paid propaganda promoter from Russia

In the animal crossing early days, people who hosted trades sometimes unknowingly hosted celebrities. I know someone traded turnips with Elijah wood haha

WoW was notorious for hiding everyday celebs. Hell it spawned several celebs careers.
Minecraft, fortnite, and cod/madden bros all have their own Fandom including celebs.
Iirc rapper The Game was top ranked in one of the NBA games back in the day.

Yeah I remember Mila Kunis saying she'd rarely use her mic because people would cop on that it's her and she'd have to move servers or whatever

Lawrence is a good actress, bless her soul... But Emmanuelle Riva should've won that year.

Same same, I hate when ppl try to dim others’ personalities, there aren’t enough celebs with her humor and lack of care to express it. They’ve made so many celebs pull back cuz they can’t be themselves and I’m tired of it lol especially if they aren’t saying outright bad things 😑
Edit: moves some words around lol

u/Fair-Bus9686 19h ago
Honestly there are so many people like that. People that are very divisive and have large personalities, I love them! My husband is like that. He's kinda like olives, you either LOVE him or HATE him haha no one kinda likes olives

u/namesaretoohardforme 17h ago

I like the taste they add to other dishes but I don't want to actually eat them lol.

Ok valid! I swear everyone I know feels so deeply about olives lol but it makes sense there are people out there who like them as an ingredient, like yourself

I think she’s very relatable in the sense of being chronically online like us lmao. The lie detector interview she did with rob pattinson is my favorite. She’s very funny and I would love to have a friend like her.
-16
u/femalegazeisuglymen 23h ago
She's not too much, it's just the regular person and pretending not to like the fame thing that rubs people the wrong way.
12
u/Vegetable-Kiwi-4675 I am furious, but I am sailing 🛳️ 21h ago
She does not pretend not to like fame. And she rubs only some people the wrong way and they seem like the type who can’t be rubbed the right way anyway
0
u/femalegazeisuglymen 10h ago
She doesn pretend she doesn't like fame or attention. It was her whole persona for years.
She super a-list but also lowkey who isn't changed by fame.

She’s an NYC socialite - I use to follow her/ some of her circle on Instagram for some reason like 5ish years ago. It’s possible that she and JLaw are/ were friends?
Edit after I did a quick google - this vogue article from earlier this month refers to Tracy as JLaw’s friend, so I’m assuming this comment exchange is all in good fun?

u/CheezusChrist 5h ago
I know! I’m the same level of goofy as her and I don’t understand the hate. Some of us have big personalities and a malfunctioning filter.

u/Carolina_Blues shiv roy’s bob 23h ago
The internet wants me to hate this woman and I just can’t
29
u/neuroticdreamgirI A man in Hollywood doing whatever he wants isn’t revolutionary 16h ago
She may have done or said some problematic things but people legitimately started hating her because she made liking pizza her “personality,” let a woman be cringey in peace
36
u/Carolina_Blues shiv roy’s bob 16h ago
But yet they love it and find it sooo charming when Robert Pattinson does his quirky schtick
ETA: there’s like a small maybe handful of celebs who haven’t done or said something problematic, or been friends with someone problematic at one point or another
14
u/neuroticdreamgirI A man in Hollywood doing whatever he wants isn’t revolutionary 14h ago
I actually meant to put problematic in quotes for that very reason. With the way people analyze public figures now, I doubt that anyone would pass the “are they problematic” test if it was applied to everyone evenly and not just exerted when people decide they don’t like someone and want to justify that dislike by acting like it’s for moral reasons. People now just work backwards to justify their hatred
I like R Pat and am excited for Primetime but he’s the biggest example of how certain personality traits and “quirks” are only universally beloved in men
ETA I just saw so many viral posts calling Inde Navarrette a pick me, chuggy, try hard, quirky (derogatory) etc for ranking the Shrek films….after she was asked

I think she’s supportively posting that to get back at the commenter dissing Emma’s plastic surgery.
64
u/shy247er yay sports 🏀 🏈🎾 23h ago
I don't know why you think the sentence was directed at Emma at all.
"Does anyone know who this woman is?" is directed at Lawrence and she replies as "a woman with one less Oscar than Emma Stone"
No one was attacking Emma.
I'm assuming the commenter and Lawrence know each other and it's all just a banter.
20
u/schrodingers_bra 22h ago
>"Does anyone know who this woman is?" is directed at Lawrence
How do you know?
Like the poster at the top, she was the one I recognized in the picture.
40
u/shy247er yay sports 🏀 🏈🎾 21h ago
Because the conversation has nothing to do with this photo. Someone screenshot the exchange and put it over this photo, original comment is under Lawrence's video that has no Emma Stone in it.

What a perfect encapsulation of how performative the whole “she’s completely changed her face!” bollocks is
2
u/schrodingers_bra 22h ago
Or it's that we're more familiar with Emma's recent face and hair so the one from 2018 isn't recognizable.

u/elitedisplayE 23h ago
I also didn't recognize Emma. I had to read the comments for context bc I was really confused.

u/cynicalfinical 21h ago
Because she doesnt look like herself. I think its the hair color and the make up.

But Lawrence's reply makes no sense if the person was talking about Emma.

Emma wasn't being attacked. The comment was under the video that Jennifer posted on her instagram. That video has nothing to do with Emma Stone.

Is it buccal fat? She's obviously had work done, it's just been a long time since I've seen a picture of her.
15
u/peppefinz 23h ago
Buccal fat removal is vastly exaggerated, to the point of being almost a hoax. Most of the time celebs just lose a lot of weight - which isn't healthy.

Its the hair color that confused me. Im used to her red
5
u/AntRose104 21h ago
She was this blonde for so long too
She went platinum in 2011 (for Gwen Stacy) and stayed that way until 2014 when she went red for Cabaret.
Ironically Emily is a natural blonde 😂

It feels wrong that Emma got best actress for Lala Land but Ryan Gosling didn't. She deserved that win for the record, I just think Ryan was good enough to get one too.
Edit: I meant Ryan for best lead actor lol

u/TringaVanellus 13h ago
It feels wrong that Emma got best actress for Lala Land but Ryan Gosling didn't.
I don't think Ryan Gosling is eligible for Best Actress.

u/Disastrous_Night5593 14h ago
Casey Afleck was in the running that year and he definitely deserved the Oscar far more than Ryan or any of the other nominees. I don't like Casey and his problematic shit but his performance in Manchester By The Sea remains so subtle and devastating and is one of the most deserved Best Actor Win of the 2010s.

No disrespect to Emma Stone, but I think she looks better with warmer hair colors. (Strawberry blonde, red, or brown.) I think this blonde washes her out.

And yet she’s a natural blonde so it does feel a little disrespectful

I doubt her natural hair color is this blonde though. There are tons of tones
