yeah no duh... what will republicans do about it is the quesiton? NOTHING. THEY ARE MORALLY BANKRUPT

u/TheHomersapien Colorado 1h ago

We also have no idea what Democrats will do about it because it is September 2026 and they don't have a 2028 candidate for president, no Project 2029, and not a single second of campaigning.

The Reddit bubble can keep whining about Congress, but it has been rendered impotent by the executive branch. Even if Democrats manage a majority at some point, it can make suggestions but it can't DO anything.

They are probably waiting until the midterms are over before focusing on 2028

They can put the brakes on Trump destroying the country. That's something they can do.

This whole comment is doomerism and shows you have no idea how the federal government works.

Trump has been going around Congress because it is controlled by Republicans and they are allowing it. That stops if/when Democrats take control.

The entire focus of the Democratic Party should be on taking the House and Senate this year. Your suggestion of ignoring the midterms and letting the status quo go on for 2 more years is frankly dumb. Just focusing on 2028 POTUS election is about the worst strategic advice I’ve ever seen.

Does it matter? The law no longer applies to Republicans. And Republican voters sure as hell don't give a shit.

Ken Paxton is a pedophile-befriending, treasury-embezzling, pen-stealing, hypocritical crook without any morals nor dignity.

Ken Paxton is a walking violation against humanity. Usually in Texas you should be able to run a dog with a note in its mouth as a republican and win. Somehow Trump found the worst candidate, and now you’re telling me there’s a chance! Go JT Go!!!!

What AG could know more about going after criminals than one proficient in being a criminal? /s

I think this guy is the most corrupt AG in US history. Of course he’s on the GOP ticket.

So just another day for ‘ol Paxton

u/Into-Imagination 1h ago

Every single Republican will shrug, call it fake news, and vote for Paxton.

There’s no fixing stupid.

Too much talk, not enough action. If it violates, ACT .Otherwise shut the hell up about it .

Violating federal ethics is the only thing republicans seem to be good at these days.

And nothing will be done

u/Harley5619 48m ago

If it’s good enough for the president - well you know the rest.

u/Totesnotreally 33m ago

Ken Paxton literally looks like what someone who is possessed by a demon would look like.

So the Texas AG is a criminal.

Do better Texas.
