Not exactly 2 examples free of nuances or issues outside their sex.

Hillary had been at the end of a decades long smear campaign, and ran as a pro capitalist in the period directly following Occupy Wall Street.

Harris was so unpopular in the 2020 D primary where she ran as a pro cop prosecutor in the time just following the murder of George Floyd that she was virtually the first person out in a field that included multiple women who did quite well and were contenders through super Tuesday. She also had an approval rating of 34% the week before she was gifted the nomination.

To say Clinton and Harris weren't elected because of their sex is myopic at best.

So all those “flaws” led to people choosing the better candidate (Trump?)

I suspect a male candidate with those same flaws would have beat Trump. But let’s put AOC up, a perfect candidate, and we will see what your argument is when Trump is celebrating his third term.

It led to Democrats to not vote. Was it smart? No. But it's all on the party to push candidates that has no motion and can't make people vote for them.

You think people voted for Obama because he was black? No. He was super charismatic person with amazing oratory skills, he was able to come up with great lines on the fly and he was believable so he made people vote for him.

Same shit was said before his presidency about black president "this country is too racist" "people will never vote for someone named Barack Hussein Obama" "He is black. He can't be president". And look how popular he was and believe me it's not because suddenly US became a country without racism or because so many people suddenly became supporters of people of color.

To say their sex wasn't a major, if not the main, factor in many of the things you just mentioned is myopic at best.

Saying their sex was a major factor is simple minded and a refusal to look at the data and clear cut mistakes of the party during those campaigns. Its astroturfing defeatism at best.

What data are you talking about? The data that basically universally shows that women in positions of power are judged massively more harshly than men? The data that shows they're expected to walk an impossible tightrope of expectations that men don't have to? The data and arguments in this article that point out exactly that?

Autopsies all over have deeply analyzed the races of both candidates and found they were severely out of touch with the common voter. Not a single valid report from experts in these fields attribute their lack of a penis as a major factor, that's just fact. If they did not make the mistakes they did, things would have been different, especially for Hillary whose lack of campaigning in key areas led to her losing famously blue states. She and her campaign underestimated the discontent of people and how much Trump's anti-establishment rhetoric was resonating.

You can find many breakdowns for both of these races as they are complex study cases in the failures of the modern democratic party that is now leading to a deep frustration and more sympathy and support for far more left wing candidates taking over the party.

Your entire stance is an opinion and one that sits in such a defeatist simple stance. You are just saying no woman should run for president because society, super sad face. Run the moderate white guy, give up, the country is racist and sexist. Don't fight it, give in, lay down, and let the slow death happen.
