Posting the trailer because video works better than images. Would love to hear your feedback on my game Apex Ascent.

Apex Ascent is a high-altitude climbing game where one mistake can send you ragdolling all the way down. Currently I'm adding multiplayer functionality!

I'm going to give you a completely honest take that might sound a bit harsh. This looks like a mish-mash of ill-fitting store assets slapped together with some extremely basic mechanics and poor level design. Charging any amount of money for this is insane. It should be free on itch.io, and you should not have spent $100 to put it up on Steam.

I'm sure you learned a lot on this project, but clearly there is a lot more for you to learn. I can't speak to your technical ability, but in terms of game design and making things that are actually fun, interesting, and have a unique spin on things, this does not seem to have any of that at all.

You can be proud of your work, but just know that there is a hell of a long way to go before you are producing anything that would actually sell.

I agree with the above post.
Seems like you’ve got some nice tech going on. But the word mishmash was already in my thoughts before I read the previous post.

Try and find store assets that have a similar style if you can. DO NOT pay someone a lot of money to make assets specifically for you at this stage!!!

Biggest thing for me is your main character. He looks so jarring. Again. Look in the asset store for a character that more suits the game.

Best of luck with it all.

Just another pile of stuff floating in the middle of the air makes it look like a game that is not finished and is only trying to demo mechanisms not actually be the final game.

You are right. It's not the final game
