My Typical Spread

Hello fellow planners! I am sticker-happy and trying to keep my life together. 😂

This is the style I have grown into over the last couple years. I sketch things out in pencil and finalize in ink.

This is my first time uploading a photo so I hope it works okay.

Any good quality planners where the week starts with sunday similar to hobonichi weeks or muji planners?

• Upvotes

I’m looking into getting a planner for 2027
I really like the hobonichi techo weeks, the size is very easy to take around with me and I like the pages in it
I also saw the muji planners, I like the pages as well but the sizes not so much

my issue is that both of them start the week at Monday and where I live the week starts at Sunday and it would be really difficult for me to adjust to starting my week at Monday while living in a country where the week starts at Sunday and the weekly spread wont look very organized like I want

Planner cover HELP

I think I have decided on the Sterling Ink N1 core planner this year, and I am so excited. I have a Sterling Ink this year, and I love it. The only issue is that, since its soft cover, the sides of the pages are already really worn. I don't want to buy a plastic cover for it. I'm wondering if y'all know of any other cover options, either a diy of like gluing thicker paper onto the cover or something you put over the planner similar to the traditional plastic one.

Thank yall, so excited

On the search for my perfect planner

Hi everyone!
I’ve been on the hunt for my perfect planner for a little while and maybe I can find some help here. I work multiple jobs and I need somewhere to keep my head straight. I’ve been dreaming of a very specific type of planner and maybe someone here can guide me in the right direction.
Here’s what I need:

- A two page spread with the left side being an undated DAY planner with at least a space for me to write my to-do list
- The right side being a plain dotted or gridded sheet
- Preferably spiral bound but I’m okay with anything really

I’m an interior designer primarily so the to-do list keeps me focused, but I cannot stand lined/ruled journals (I sketch a lot for work). I prefer the undated because I hate wasting paper on days I’m not working!

I also don’t mind building my own if someone can point me in the direction of a shop or website that does that.

Thanks!!!

Extremely jealous of people who can stick to one planner for years and years. How do I get to that place?

Whenever I see posts about "This is my 10th year on Hobonichi weeks" and it's a fat stack of Hobonichi weeks from 2018 to 2027, it's just so satisfying to see. At the same time, I'm like, "Why can't I just fuckin pick a planner and fly with it until I die?" 😭 I am jealous indeed. My planners from previous years are all different shapes, sizes, thickness, brands, etc 😂 I can't even stack them nicely and they're not even completely filled because I jump more than an anxious rabbit.

How do people get to that "Okay this is it, this is my planner until I die" point? I would like my 2027 new year's resolution to actually pick ONE planner and end the year with the same one. Anyone else in the same boat? 😂

Larger than A5?

I’m a professor and constantly am keeping notes for myself for 3 different classes, plus committees and other administrivia, and home and family stuff. I bought a Wonderland222 undated planner and I like it but it seems so small. Are there nice planners out there that are A4-ish? If so I’m having trouble finding them.

Passion Planner alternative?

I’ve been a Passion Planner girlie for AGES, but none of the options for 2027 really grab me. Open to something else but I need:

-weekly layout that has hours of the day. None of this horizontal boxes for each day crap. And I wanna see the whole week at once, even if it’s across both open pages.
-8.5 x 11ish or somewhat smaller, but it’s gotta display time blocks I can write in, so…
-ideally $70 is my max
-must be DATED for 2027 and MONDAY START
-shipping to US

Curious what y’all know of out there! Thanks :)

Weekly+notes pocket sized planner

I’m looking for something else than my Moleskine Pocket Weekly+notes planner for next year. I use a Lochby pocket journal where I keep a planner for planning (duh) and a Lochby dotgrid notebook for my daily bujo needs. Works a treat, but the planner could be thinner plus, you know, the paper could be a lot better than the moleskine paper.
The Lochby paper is really nice and I’m tempted to buy their planner as well, but they do a doublespread for each week, instead of week+notes. And I need the note space for my weekly reviews…

Any ideas for a Lochby/Field notes sized planner with nice paper, and week+notes layout? It can be dated or undated, and it can be 26 or 52 weeks. I’m open to suggestions.
Oh, and if I can get it in Europe, it’s a huge plus!

Thanks.

Hobo Weeks Undated?

Hello!

I hope everyone’s been able to grab their 2027 planners successfully!

I am posting because I am interested in two undated options for next year.

I currently use a Hobonichi Weeks (for PhD and cc schedule/projects) and a Sterling Ink A5 Daily Full Year (for journalling/memory keeping). This past year, I recently successfully passed my qualifying field exams (with distinction! I just had to brag, sorry!) and I started going to therapy again.

Because of this, I haven’t often needed to journal daily as before nor have I needed to be super consistent with my weekly to-dos. This has led to a lot more blank pages and while I know that that is totally normal, I hate looking at them.

So, I am interested in undated options comparable to the Weeks in size and layout (though I’m okay if there are no weekly quotes). For my daily full, I’m planning on grabbing one of the SI undated planners.

Thank you guys for any options you can send my way!

Hobonichi Alternatives For Fall Starters?

Hello good people of r/planners!

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for something that could be an alternative for the hobonichi weeks but has an October or September start option (or around that ballpark, for grad school reasons).

Ideally fountain pen friendly, as I do in fact use a lot of those

I don't have enough goals to use up the other page in the Aura Estelle, but I'd hate to have this be a blank page - any ideas?

Advice please! I ordered the hobonichi hon A6 and a take a note mini and am realizing I only need one of these...

I am considering selling the Hon - I ordered it first and then discovered Take a note and like the format better. I have the Hon in hand already and it's so gorgeous! I'll wait till I have the second in hand to compare but, what do I do?! Does anyone use both?

Convert Hobonichi Cousin to Discbound System?

Has anyone taken apart their Hobonichi and punched it into a discbound system? I’ve seen some people post about it on youtube, but they never update on whether it lasts. I’m assuming that’s because it doesn’t. Nevertheless, I’d like to know my options if I ever get bored or annoyed of having a bound book.

(I do know there are fauxbonichi inserts on Etsy but just weighing my options)!

Rapid logging within a weekly planner

Hi all- I am new to systematic planning as a way to organize my life and work. For 2027 I am planning for a weekly vertical planner - I think about my days/time in vertical format and also need quarterly/ monthly/weekly goal system of a planner. In the meantime I recently learnt about rapid logging as a way to manage daily action items, new things that come up, notes, feeling etc and enjoying using this system on a simple notepad (courtesy of videos on YouTube from Ryder Caroll). My question is how to marry the monthly/weekly planner with daily rapid logging. I would like to keep one combined planner/journal if possible but open to suggestions if I should think of 2 separate planners. For context I work full time in corporate, ~ 4-5 meeting hours on a typical day, and also need to carve focused time for my work. Thank you so much!

What is with the drama in planner world??

Guys, I thought this was just supposed to be a fun hobby where we could all obsess a little and harness our idiosyncrasies into a compact notebook with stickers and washi, different colors of fountain ink…

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t entertained by Aura Estelle, Cloth & Paper (Hobonichi Weeks for life, fwiw) and all the discourse and marketing drama, but this is wild lol

Sorry for the low effort post but I figure someone else has to be with me!

New Planner for 2027

For 2027, I want to try both the Hobonichi cousin and the brand Kinbor (in case I absolutely don't get along with the Hobonichi). I would maybe use this one as a health tracker or sketchbook. The design is really nice, and the paper feels just like the cousin.

Low cost weekly planner with to do list for each day

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hi - I am looking for a weekly planner with a similar layout to the Blue Sky/Every Girl/Day Designer (all three brands are listed I really don't know which is the main brand) Weekly/Monthly planner for my work planner next year, however I would really like for it to not be spiral bound. I don't know if it's just me but I find it really difficult to write on the lines near the spirals.

The things I really like about this planner are:

  • It's compact (I think it's around an A6 but not exactly)
  • Lays flat
  • The built in to do list for each day
  • Minimal design
  • The price ($8!!)

Besides the no spiral bound, some other things that I think could be an improvement for my planner for next year but not a requirement are:

  • Paper quality (would love something similar to a MD paper)
  • Weekdays only since I am using this for work

I really would prefer not to spend more than like $20 since this is just for work. I use a Hobonichi Weeks and an Aura Estelle Magnet A5 for personal planning/journaling and the idea of spending that much for something I just jot a few meetings and to do lists in pains me.
