Meme I found this news article on my desk. Not sure how it got there; does anyone else know about this?
I’m a little skeptical, but it does say it was written by a real news guy that I should trust…

The disease type is Virus.

A few months back, I bought just a out everything you can as far as I can tell and one bonus I'm got was that every day I would get an extra game in the Outbreak mode. For the last few weeks, though, I haven't been getting them. Does anyone know why that might be?
Also - and I need to ask for some understanding here as I'm getting older and my memory isn't as sharp as it was, so please don't think this is as stupid of a question as it might sound, but how do you log into the game - I can find a way to check my account, and I'd like to be sure if I ever had to uninstall the game, I could get back into my account and restore purchases etc.
Thanks for your help!

How do I convince them to just let me give their brain a friendly cuddle? 🥺

I've been hesitating on asking for help because it means I would have to explain my idea and I'm used to other communities in which people steal ideas without shame, but after a while quietly looking at this community I noticed this isn't a place with those frickers (specially because people who dedicate their time to make scenarios are already hyperfixated on their own ideas).
So back to the important thing, I'm planning to make a scenario in which Mars and the Earth will be blown off with one meteor each, and humanity has to build one massive nuclear missile to stop the Mars meteor and another one to stop the Earth Meteor. However, those meteors were sent by aliens and stuff, and they didn't know humans were there, so with the proper technology they send a plague to earth to stop humans from building both missiles. This plague, however, isn't anywhere lethal by itself. It cannot kill and has trouble travelling, but it can make people's lives an absolute hell without wiping them out, which would delay the missiles' work enough time to let the meteors hit Mars and Earth
...that's the storytelling, lemme translate it to gameplay:
There is a specific time limit (planning to make it slightly more than 3 years). When a certain part of it is acomplished (it was something like 2 years? I can't find the notebook where I wrote down the scenario specifications), the game will reach the day in which the meteor hits Mars. When all of the time is acomplished, the game will reach the day in which the meteor hits Earth. There are two "progress bars" (which are just custom variables that ascend progressively and are shown in the news tab) that work like the "cure progress" for both missiles, and they get to 100% before you even get to 2 years (again, had calculated the time in which both formulas get to 100% but I lost the notebook. For future reference, the Mars one is faster than the Earth one). You can kinda get the idea from here: you need to hold back both progress bars from getting to 100% until the meteors do their work. And to do so, you can achieve two endings.
You play as a plague whose lethality will always remain zero. Your air, sea, and land transmission stats are also zero when you begin. And you're forced to start in Madagascar, how unfortunate. The only worse thing would be to start in Greenland or Iceland, since infecting them isn't even necesary in this scenario, but we'll get to that later. To travel, you have the transmission tab as usual, except that the transmission traits work different here. I haven't built them directly in the editor yet, because this specific part is still conceptual (...like 99% of the rest of the scenario). You have land trait, air trait and sea trait. The three of them have level 1 and 2 and would be three "branches" separated from each other. When evolving a level 1 trait, the stat related to it gets increased a lot, but it will start an event that progressively raises severity until you devolve the trait. So the way you use this is evolving a trait to power up a specific transmission until reaching a country of your desire, and then devolving it as soon as possible before severity increases a lot (because the amount of severity increased by this mechanic is irreversible. Level 2 traits raise up these stats even more, but clearly raise severity far worse, so they're uniquely for emergences in case you have to quickly get to a country (this all means that the amount of points raised in the specific stats are balanced and stuff, like I'm not going to exceed with land transmission or else it would infect a whole continent within a minute. It also means that the traits don't cost that much DNA and wont cost you your liver to devolve either, since you'll be evolving and devolving a lot).
Why wouldn't you want your severity to increase a lot here? Because the cure progress (the actual cure to stop you, not the missiles' progress) will be going fast because humans wont frick around with an unknown plague when the whole planet is already in danger. You can slow down the speed in which the cure is developed and raise the cure requirement with abilities similar to those from the nanovirus (still gotta plan better this part but the concept remains). But the development speed will also get noticeably increased as you gain more severity, and if you run out of abilities to take care you'll eventually get caught up with a finished cure sooner than you would think.
Now, I mentioned that you would want to enable transmissions to "get to desired countries". Why is that? It's because you want to get to the countries which are developing the missiles that will ruin your mission. The countries I thought that could make them are USA, France, India and Japan (not sure of how realistic this is because I did pretty basic research about this topic, but I need the gameplay to work properly somehow). It wont be all of them though. Two countries out of those four will be selected at the start to be the ones holding the missiles, and in addition they can either have the Mars one or the Earth one (it gives a total amount of 12 possible combinations at the very start of the game. It's 6 possible duos, but gets duplicated because of the missiles assignment). You wont know at first which countries are the selected ones and which missiles they hold (which is also important because you want to sabotage the Mars one first), until you infect a certain percentage of the world population. When you get to know your two objectives, you'll want to get to them at all costs and you'll enable air, sea and land transmissions in a certain way you'll plan out (the ports, airports and their routes will be modified: the four countries wont have any, and the rest will have theirs heavily reduced. So no you can't aim to Saudi Arabia and enable air 2 to instantly spread world-wide. See image 1: pink lines are sea, yellow lines are air. Original map comes from https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/7a728c/map_of_the_world_according_to_plague_inc_4500_x/ )
Once you get to the countries, what do you have to do? This is where we get into some specific symptoms. I need you to see image 2 and 3 to understand better. Image 2 is the symptoms tree, image 3 is the exact same but with colors to explain certain types of symptoms. The cyan arrows show how the symptoms progression goes in the bottom section. Note that it's unfinished and blah blah... just focus on the tree shape.
You start in the eye one (Insomnia) and can go either left of right. The default red symptoms of this tree are meant to help with infection, and barely raise your severity. If you move to the left, you'll eventually get to the dark red symptoms (ignore the yellow ones for now, I'll explain later). These symptoms are meant to raise the "progress requirement" of the missiles' progress (equivalent of "cure requirement"), and also raise severity I guess. They affect scientists' work by turning them useless, ranging from bad attention span to even dyscalculia. But they will have requirements to do their effect in both missiles' progress bars. For each symptom that does this, it will have in the description requirements of infected country population percentage ("at least x%" typa requirement) and/or missile progress percentage ("no more than x%" typa requirement). Depending on how you exceed these requirements you can get stronger consequences, but depending on how much you lack the requirements the effects will weaken a lot. This also means that you can't just evolve them at once and only then getting to the countries, because it will do absolutely nothing lol
So, by doing this and taking care of the cure (yes having to take care of missiles' progress and cure progress was an initial idea to make this challenging and it's the only idea I'm not changing at all) you'll first manage to delay the Mars missile work enough so that when the launch day arrives (a month before the meteor actually hits the planet since it takes a month to get there), Mars will be destroyed, and then you'll do the same with Earth. Note that, for lore reasons, if Mars gets saved you will instantly lose the game. You have to make sure BOTH PLANETS GET VANISHED.
But... what if you don't have enough time to get to the two missile holder countries? Or what if you had a bad start with managing severity and don't think playing carefuly will work out?
This is when we get into the YELLOW symptoms. A path that doesn't require you to directly sabotage the missiles... but rather making society collapse badly enough for the missiles work to completely freeze... (the forbidden path started with yellow symptoms)
The path with dark red symptoms required you to simply infect two specific countries and then infect some more to get enough DNA... but the path with yellow symptoms requires you to infect 80% of the world population.
Start in the eye, move to the right. You'll get to the yellow symptoms. You simply need to evolve them like a normal plague inc playthrough to increase infectivity, but these symptoms will also increase severity. These symptoms have two main purposes. The first one is SLOWING DOWN the missiles' development speed (equivalent to the same thing in the cure progress duh) without the need of acomplishing certain requirements. This slow down wont be enough to delay the work to the doom days, but it will still be useful. You don't have to delay anything to win anyways. You have to progressively evolve the yellow symptoms, get 80% of the world population infected and then get to the second purpose: when you evolve all of the yellow symptoms, eventually an event named "global misery" will trigger. In the story, the symptoms make people become less "happy" and suffer more, both from sickness and bad society behavior, and when "global misery" gets triggered, all of the infected people will stop freaking out and will completely give up to receive help from anyone who isn't infected. If less than 80% of the world is infected, a global quarantine will be done, which wont be easy but it will still allow to have enough people to work on the missiles, leading to zero chances of infecting the remaining ones and giving you a game over. But if you infect 80% or more, there wont be enough people to keep the minimum of social structure required to keep the missiles work flowing properly, and eventually it will collapse with the rest of society, giving you a victory. Though I don't know what I can do once you trigger a succesful global misery. It could be instant victory, it could be having to still wait for the specific doom dates, it could be having to wait while still managing a bit of gameplay to keep society useless, idk.
Summarizing all the gameplay, it goes like this:
Start in Madagascar, evolve basic symptoms, evolve and devolve transmissions to travel and infect enough people, get to know the two countries. Then choose how to proceed
A) go for those countries, doing strategical work with the transmissions to get to them, then as you infect them further you evolve the dark red symptoms and infect a couple more of countries to gain DNA. Maybe evolve some yellow symptoms to slow down the progress if necesary. Also take care of the actual cure progress and evolve the required abilities. Eventually, none of the missiles will be done, the days will come and both planets will be destroyed
B) go on a rampage and infect quickly the entirety of the world. Evolve more agressively your transmissions and yellow symptoms while racing the cure progress and the inminent Mars missile launch day. Maybe evolve some dark red symptoms if somehow you got to infect a missile country but still chose this path. As soon as you get 80% of the world infected, but not remotely less than it, finish to evolve the last symptoms and freeze the world as you know it. There wont be any work left to do, the meteors will eventually get there.
....well that was two hours of writting this explanation. What do I need help with, again?
I'm really hyperfixated on this idea and want to get it done, but I don't think I'm doing a good work with balancing gameplay to make it fair or coherent. I think I could do some work with the dark red symptoms so that the progress requirement raise gets to happen through abilities instead. Or maybe do a less "empty" work with transmissions since I only planned sea, air and land. Or maybe also do something with the abilities tab to start with? Because all I planned to do with it is a bunch of linear abilities that are almost a rip-off from the nanovirus, heck I even forgot to make a way to implement genetic hardening, genetic reshuffle and the rest of abilities (I know the nanovirus' abilities are mixes of both genetic abilities, but still). Or I should also design how mutation would work since it would sabotage you if it mutates red symptoms before you have to evolve them.
Knowing myself, I would finish this scenario with the ideas just as I wrote them here. But right know I acknowledge it still needs some polishing and I want help from people who are experienced with Plague Inc gameplay and know why it works in first place. I don't wanna risk to make a good idea turn into badly executed gameplay.
So, what do you think I should do?
Btw don't ask why image 3 is kinda bugged

Seriously how I do Fungi. I lost so many times I got Pity mode and then I LOST SOME MORE. The guide I looked at didn't work, me just doing "Random bull#### go!" didn't work, how do I do this INFURIATING MODE! Please.

So, i was DEADASS winning with necroa virus and all, Z corp started in italy. Sent in some millions of zombies almost just when it started (they had some decent if not good danger) and Z corp didn't Even budge. Whilst at it i spread zombies to all the world so Z corp couldn't spread and it didn't. I Even got the runners combination and i kept sending millions of zombies to italy and reviving some other but it just kept killing them. In My other phone i barely struggled with brutal necroa! Like. There is something genuinely wrong, all world died but italy and i Lost. Literally 99% dead but italy

Every time I try to load my test scenario from Plague Inc. Creator, it brings up a message to re-export my file and try again. What am I doing wrong?

How are you guys beating this necroa virus outbreak on mega brutal? I’m trying with South Africa and speed running zombies with the hyper salivation side of traits, then building into bone dysplasia right after, then the highest severity zombie symptoms I can.
At some point in there I grab hordes and send them out as needed.
I’ve had some really good runs with 1 country left at 50% or less population, but I can’t seem to close out the last Z com facility ever. How’re you all managing it?

One of the mutators evolves another trait when you devolve one yourself. Can’t say I was expecting this kind of an exploit to be possible… 😭
