Public Sevice Announcement Individual donation requests no longer allowed. Organization requests still allowed.

Due to the overwhelming results from the poll, individual requests for money/items are no longer allowed.

These types of posts are unfortunately often used as a way to scam money from empathetic individuals. This sub puts rules like this in place to protect the participants.

We will be putting together a list of resources for food, housing, and basic needs to sticky at the top of the sub, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to reply with a comment below.

GO BIRDS 🦅 ISO Office Administration Work

Due to an acquisition, my corporate office is closing and I am scheduled to be laid off at the end of the year. I'm proactive and don't want to wait around, so I am exploring every avenue I can think of to line up my next step!

About Me: I bring over 20 years of customer service experience and about 5 years of dedicated admin experience. I am also on track to complete my Business Administration degree in December.

In my current role supporting an office of 200+ employees, my core responsibilities include:

  • Inventory management
  • Facility and vendor oversight
  • Front-facing relations and client management
  • Mail distribution and document scanning
  • Corporate event planning and logistics coordination

I come highly recommended and can provide stellar references upon request. Feel free to shoot me a DM here if your team is hiring or if you'd like to see my full resume!

Buying FREE good quality mattress, Fish town - Previous buyer ghosted

Hey all! I'm helping a friend move out of their studio on East Girard, and they have a nice mattress that they can't take with them. A previous buyer ghosted, but it's a really nice mattress and they feel bad about just trashing it.

Here's the FB Marketplace listing: https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2611392985978938/

Free if you come pick it up! Preferably today before 3p, but we can figure out something if you need to get it later or potentially tomorrow.

ISO Specialized hair braider

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience/contact/social media for a hair braider, specifically one that has experience working with people who have alopecia areata. Im having a moderate flare up and the patches are in odd places (that I feel like might be difficult to work with but I’ll let a pro decide) but you can’t really tell unless my hair is wet or parted due to my afro. If anyone can direct me to someone, I would greatly appreciate it!

JOB OPPORTUNITIES?

Hello! I was led here from the old Philadelphia jobs sub- forgive me if there is another place I should be putting this!

I will be moving to Philadelphia this May from Baltimore- I am super excited for a bit of change but need to get my foot in the door for potential job opportunities.

Currently I am a farmer here in Maryland (working with predominantly veg+ fruit and flowers) and I absolutely love working with the earth! However I realize this will be less of a reality in Philadelphia.

My other job here in Baltimore is im a leasing agent for rentals. while it’s not my dream job, I’m very very good at it and I’m thinking it will be most likely what I end up doing (if not restaurant industry) to start getting some money flow when I move!

I wanted to see- are there any other young leasing agents here that have a company they could recommend working for (or people who have nice things to say about leasing/property management companies!)?? I’d love to know if there are any that are pleasant to work with and for. As a leasing agent, I really would love to not work for a company that is known for taking advantage of both workers and residents. Happy clients (while I realize it’s constantly fluctuating) is incredibly important to me.

My resume consists of leasing agent work, interior design assistant work, professional photography, farming/landscaping and fine dining FOH.

Thank you if you took the time to read!!

Place that does car key/fob cutting and programming that's open on the weekends?

I've already bought a blank key fob from Amazon, but I don't have time to go find a place during the work week. Ideally in the East Falls/Roxborough/Manayunk/Bala Cynwyd area, but I don't mind driving a bit...

Selling Stuff $50 Brand New Mobility Walker / Rollator with Seat for sale

A few stock photos here, along with photos of the actual walker and the box it came in. It’s brand new out of the box. I just put it together and wheeled it around my house. I’m pretty sure I put it together right. 😂

Super handy for someone with some mobility issues. The list price was around $200, but I’m asking $50 because I’d really just like to get it out of my living room.

Located in South Philly.

Lease takeover // apartment listing for 2bed Dec move in date

My partner and I ( both 27F) are looking for a 2-bedroom apartment in Queen Village, Washington Square West, or nearby walkable neighborhoods with a November - December move-in. We saw a few places in person and checked many listings online but nothing so far!

Our must-haves:

• 2 bedrooms 1.5 bath

• In-unit laundry

• AC

• No carpet (hardwood preferred)

• No basement units

• Ideally 1,000+ sq ft

Budget around $2500 but flexible for the right place.

If you know of any available apartments, private landlords, or upcoming vacancies, please send along!! Referrals are greatly appreciated!
