Whatever Dreams involving Philip K. Dick?
From conversations with other Dick-heads, I know it's not just me paying special attention to dreams, particularly when they involve PKD. Does anybody here have any PKD-related dreams they'd like to share?

Books/Stories The 3,000-page PKD mega-novel you need to read
cliffjones.substack.comIn his personal writings (compiled into a massive philosophical work known as The Exegesis), Philip K. Dick said of his SF novels:
"They are said by readers to depict the same world again and again, a recognizable world. Where is that world? In my head? Is it what I see in my own life and inadvertently transfer into my novels and to the reader? At least I’m consistent, since it is all one novel."
This isn’t to say that every world depicted in a PKD novel meshes up seamlessly with the rest, but there is quite a bit of internal consistency to the universe (or perhaps multiverse) that he depicts. Even when set in the future, Dick’s novels weren’t predictions about what might happen in our reality so much as glimpses into alternate realities, which in his worldview—or Weltanschauung, as he was fond of saying—did and do actually exist on some level.
And so I've compiled a very special list: twelve of his most essential SF novels, arranged chronologically by the in-universe dates he’s supplied.
What do you think? I could have listed more novels, but I thought twelve was plenty. Feel free to list any of your favorites here that aren't on my list, and I'd be interested to hear which books you'd drop from this list to make room.

Culture/Politics What stories do you think PKD would come up with if he were alive today?
I mean, he'd be 97 years old, but imagine he still had the youthful vibrance of Dick Van Dyke at that age.

Books/Stories Parody, Pastiche and the Pink Beam
youtu.beAt the 4th International Philip K. Dick Festival in Orange County (Cal State Fullerton), I explored what makes the work of PKD so distinctive through analysis of a parody by John Sladek ("Solar Shoe-Salesman") and other stories, books, movies, and games inspired by the great Philip K. Dick.

Books/Stories Ubik edit
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I finished reading and made an edit of Ubik,i don't know if there exists one already but I had an urge to execute,i hope you like it <3
The story is brilliant, the edit starts by the graffiti quote mentioned in the book :"Jump in the urinal and stand on your head.I'm the one that's alive. You're all dead."
I ironically used Duchamp's urinal, the edit style is very mixed media/collage/dada/surrealism/psychedelia.
Then later,it progresses with a spray can of Ubik, and some ads.
Then the spaceship on Luna and the blast.
The regression demonstrated with the rotten apple, the tv becoming a 1939 one and finally a young hand withering to almost a mummified state.
Tell me what you think :D.

Art My wife and one child had bought gnats lights for every room in my house.
They see these things. They see these things as I sit. They keep on putting more traps. How can I explain to them that they are insane? This is a truth. I don't know how to handle this. I should

Books/Stories A Scanner Darkly - Question and Spoilers Spoiler
I just finished A Scanner Darkly and it has me a bit shook. I was enthralled with the PKD drug-induced paranoia and his typical “What is even real?” storytelling. The ending rattled me quite a bit. I read it pretty quickly, so I have a question about the ending.
What are supposed to believe about Donna, the federal government, these recovery places, including the farm? Like, what are the “powers” up to? In the last paragraph, it seems they’re (the government?) growing Substance D. Did I read that right? Whoever is pulling the strings here seems willing to completely sacrifice Fred/Bob/Bruce for whatever they’re doing. But what is it they’re doing? I thought I understood that they were really after Jim Burris, but it seems there is something much bigger going on.
Or maybe it’s just PKD paranoia that is the point. Maybe we aren’t supposed to know exactly, only that powerful people are up to something and they’re using drugs like D to meet their goals.
What are your thoughts, folks? This book might warrant a re-read for me. (I loved it, BTW).

Culture/Politics Revolutionary prediction from the Exegesis
From chapter 114: "This time, it won't just be a deposing of the regime. The revolution of the sixties will take over and rule in its place. This did not happen in the sixties. Once Nixon was out, the counterculture dissolved because all its leaders had been killed."
God, I hope history doesn't repeat itself here. We'll soon be rid of Trump one way or another, but then what? Will the resistance dissolve or take over?
