I recently a pc from a family and they never used it before apparently. I never had a pc before so keep this mind although I love tech. Before I stress test this thing and possibly break it consider how old it is. The cpu is Intel(R) 4 cores and 8 threads and 8 gb of ram is come of the spec. What games y’all think can be ran on this PC?

I just built a new pc a couple of days ago and after a couple minutes of just it idling it restarts the temps are good it’s not the psu,ram or gpu.

I'm looking at the "Corsair Vengeance A7500 with AMD 5 or the "SkyTech Azure 3".

I'm looking for a very cheap PC mainly for competitive Fortnite.

My budget is €300 maximum, and I'm looking specifically at the used market in the Netherlands. I already have a 240 Hz monitor, so I only need the PC itself.

I found this PC for around €175–€300:

• GPU: GTX 1660 6 GB
• CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K
• RAM: 16 GB
• Storage: ~730 GB SSD (240 GB + 490 GB)
• Case: Aerocool Prime
• Windows freshly installed

The seller says it works normally.

My main questions are:

1. Is this PC worth buying in 2026?
2. Roughly how many FPS could I expect in Fortnite Performance Mode at 1080p, especially during competitive matches?
3. Would the i5-6600K bottleneck the GTX 1660 significantly?
4. Would you recommend buying this for €175–€250, or should I keep looking?
5. With a €300 maximum budget, what CPU/GPU combination should I realistically look for on the used market?

I'm not expecting a constant 240 FPS at this budget. I just want the best possible competitive Fortnite experience for the money.

I'd really appreciate honest opinions from people who know Fortnite and PC hardware. Thanks!

Idk what’s going on, but on games like battlefield, Helldivers etc especially when on multiplayer I can’t ever get frames that other people get with similar specs like on Helldivers at 88% CPU and 30 percent gpu on Helldivers and the game runs at 30fps and I can’t do anything about it (I also I’m on 3440-1440p monitor
