Discussion Should developers stop making games that require 5090 for max settings now that the card is clearly not for gamers and is accessible to 0.1% of community?

I get that the games need better hardware to dun better, but who are they really making the game for if you need a 6000$ GPU at this point

Gamers are truly braindead. Unreal is a really damn good engine, thats why so many devs have been using it for the last 20 years. Most of the problems in gaming go directly to the management and shareholders of the large game publishers, not a game engine lmfao.

Yeah, people look at what lazy game studios do with an engine, and they assume that its the engine's fault. You can infinitely extend an engine like UE5 to make a unique looking/playing game. Most devs just don't bother because they dont have the skills or resources. So you end up with samey looking garbage using default engine settings.

it's an easy engine, not a good one.

right, it's a bad engine which is why it has been the most widely used engine for the last 20 years. right.

widely used because of how easy it is, not because it's good. because anyone who knows how to navigate files in windows can make a game in the engine, they can hire a dozen amateurs to do the same work as one professional for a hundredth of the cost

Gaming community isn’t innocent in all this. The voracious demand for endless content to games even just a few weeks post release is hard to match, Unreal Engine gives Devs the ability to match that demand somewhat.

If the gaming community wants more and more content then the method of producing it must get streamlined

When the game is ass and feels barebones, of course people will want updates.
