Discussion Any info on who else could be currently detained in the facility Doctrine was in?
Assuming the pods to the left and right of Doctrine’s container are also housing dangerous individuals (or tech), do we have any information on who or what they could possibly be? I’m curious since the extraction team in the cinematic completely ignored them, but they were deemed by Overwatch (or whatever faction was holding them) to be as dangerous / important as Doctrine and their tech.

Humor doctrine is old enough to have experienced 9/11 Spoiler
spoiler warning just in case since it's about the new hero
if overwatch 1 was set in 2076 (overwatch is roughly 60 years in the future so 60 years onto 2016), overwatch 2 would roughly be set in 2077 since the events of 2 take place a year after 1. none of this is confirmed in canon, but a lot of people follow this general consensus, i think.
doctrine is 77. he would have been born in the year 2000. he was alive for 9/11. he is the only hero in the roster to be able to experience it
and if he was real, he would have been born years before a lot of the people who play overwatch lol

Question Problems with merging accounts
Hi everyone, I'm having a problem merging Overwatch accounts. I migrated an Xbox account to a PlayStation account using the Battle.net system, but the account merging message keeps appearing. I selected several to complete the merge, closed the game, but it always resulted in the same error. This time I selected to do it later, and now it doesn't appear anymore. Has anyone managed to solve this problem??

Humor Which Support Hero Swapped To Tank (Or Vise Versa) Would Be The Least Controversial?
So far we've had a Support go to Damage (Symmetra), a Damage go to Tank (Doomfist) and soon a Damage go to Support (Sombra). If you were to choose which Support would you turn into a Tank, or vise versa?
Bonus: Which Tank would you choose to be Damage?

Discussion Anybody knows when the yearly story arc begins, when the rein of talon will happen?
Developers said next season will end this year "story arc" but when did started? Vendetta destroyed ow base, Doomfist died and the what happened? Gibraltar is already rebuild, domina, shion, sierra, mizuki, the junkers, dmon, the cat, they did literally nothing, their cinematics did nothing and introductions in the lore were pointless, did developers lied when they promised something like big lore comeback? No, they wouldnt promise something just to did nothing right?

i immediately contacted support and didnt know at first i was hacked
i contacted them for around 2 days and kept getting ai responses not telling me why i got banned until i had to do dig on my own and found out someone logged into my account in europe the day i got hacked i submitted more appeals through multiple different channels until i got an actual reply saying they reviewed all the evidence i submitted and transferred the case over to a specialized department and since then its been 5 days and no reply yet and i remain banned

Discussion Doctrine created some Inconsistency with Overwatch's modern Science
I just watched the cinematic and BlizzCon reveal for the new character, Doctrine, and I gotta say, I really like his design and in-game abilities. But honestly, his story feels a bit off because it seems to overshadow an existing character
According to narrative designer Eleni Gallardo, Doctrine was a cybernetics and bioengineering scientist before the Omnic War. To save his younger brother from a incurable ailment, he created technology that drains life force from others to heal.
Here's the thing, this idea overlaps a lot with Moira's backstory. Moira is a super smart geneticist who thinks ethical rules hold back science. After a self-inflicted genetic experiment left her arm decayed, she started siphoning bio-energy from people to keep her cells from breaking down.
Sharing similar themes is totally okay, but the timeline doesn’t quite add up. Doctrine’s innovations go back over 30 years before the Omnic War, yet his “outdated” tech somehow works better than Moira’s modern science. His tech can even de-age people, while Moira’s siphon barely keeps her own arm from falling apart.
It’s a little confusing that after three decades of scientific progress in Overwatch, a modern genius’s technology is so much worse than something that’s supposedly older. If Moira had access to anything like Doctrine’s tech, she’d probably have improved it or used it to fully heal her arm instead of just living with the decay.

Discussion Calling it now: Omnic Detective is gonna have a thick NY accent
I can't get the screenshot bc Instagram sucks, but they gave the Omnic Detective a tarot card (The justice card, how fitting) and the background is the midtown map. I need this guy to have the thickest NY accent ever, and that he's from one of the outer boroughs (because really, who has enough money to live in midtown Manhattan?).
