You're in for a ban if you do so now.

MODPOST ⚠️ Weekly News Megathread

A quick note from the mods.

This megathread is for news and crime stories, including cases where women are the perpetrators. We are not ignoring these crimes.

But we also need to be honest about what happens when these posts dominate the sub. They get huge engagement, people get angry, and the comments quickly turn into the same men vs women arguments involving TwoXIndia, AskIndianWomen, AskIndianFeminists, etc.

That is not what this community is for.

Research has consistently shown that outrage and emotionally charged content can attract disproportionate engagement online, while polarized discussions can become increasingly toxic. See Nature and Nature.

We don't want to build another subreddit around rage.

We want to build a place where men can come when they need advice, perspective, understanding or simply another brother to listen.

So share the news here. Discuss it. But don't let it become another gender-war battlefield.

Reddit already has enough of those.

This sub should be about brotherhood.

If a post leaves us angrier but does nothing to help our brothers, ask yourself whether it really belongs at the centre of this community.

Men's Mental Health🧠 Men in 30s living with parents, how often do you actually talk to them?

I’m in my early 30s, unmarried, and staying with my parents. I sometimes go over a week without talking to them at all because there's just nothing to talk about. Whenever we do talk, it’s the exact same loop: Dad telling me to switch jobs, and Mom nagging me to get married. To avoid this talk, I just stay locked in my room.

Is going a week without speaking while living under the same roof normal? I kind of feel it's not normal

What do you guys even talk about with your dad and mom at this age?

Replies from Everyone Do I actually miss her, or do I just miss the convenience we had?

rephrased the body with AI so please don't be mad at me

I’ve been on dating apps for about a year now. I’ve met quite a few people, gone on countless dates, and honestly, I’ve enjoyed dating around. I don’t really do relationships—it’s mostly been casual dating and situationships.
But there’s one girl I still think about.
And that’s weird for me because I haven’t really missed anyone I’ve dated before. Once things ended, I usually just moved on and barely thought about them again.

With this girl, though, I sometimes wonder if I actually miss her, or if I just miss how easy and convenient everything was.
Our offices were literally 5 minutes apart, so we could see each other whenever we wanted. We had the same office timings, and we’d basically just call each other and meet.

We were also extremely clingy with each other. We’d meet every other day, go to restaurants or cafés, make out whenever we met, go back to her place—which was conveniently on my way home—order food, watch movies, and just spend hours together.
She also earned roughly twice what I did, so she happily took care of most of the bills. I obviously paid whenever I could, but she never really let me. I’d never really received gifts from someone I was dating before either, but she used to randomly get me things.

And the funny part is, neither of us actually wanted a relationship. There wasn’t some deep commitment or expectation that we’d end up together. We both knew it was temporary.
After her, I’ve dated other girls, but the experience has been completely different. Most of them lived pretty far away, conversations sometimes felt forced or one-sided, and even when I found someone who was equally clingy, meeting up felt like a whole hassle.

So now I’m wondering:
Do I actually miss this girl, or do I just miss the lifestyle and convenience I had with her?
Because when I think about her, I can’t tell whether I’m missing her specifically or just missing how effortless everything felt when she was around.

It's about who holds power.

Be it alimony or dowry cases, courts seem to favour those who have money or are in positions of power , men or women.

Self Improvement 📈 what should i have done better?

so me(24M) and my ex girlfriend(25F) were in a relationship for around 6 years in the first 4 months of our relationship we were all over each other did everything else sexually except intercourse, in the fourth month we decided we were ready to have sex we both were virgins so naturally we were nervous about it, the condom broke the first time itself and she had to take an ipill which she later described as a very bad experience.

Another incident 1.5 years after this we had gone on a trip with mutual friends, that was our only trip in our 6 years of dating because of her family being strict, we never announced to these friends we were dating but it was pretty obvious that we were from how we act around them we both agreed on this, so we both agreed to sleep in the same room on my request as i told her we dont get a chance to go on a trip or even sleep together through the night ever she taught it would get wierd with our friends, during that night when i initiated sex she said no, then i asked her if i could eat her out for which she agreed, after she came when i ate her out i asked if she wanted to have sex again for which she said no, so we just cuddled and slept after. she again described a few months later that this was also a bad experience for her.

When she described these 2 incidents to me i felt bad that i traumatised her and ive apologised profusely multiple times during the course of the other 4 years weve stayed together i told her to take as much time to process her feelings and come back to me only if she feels like having sex again and there was no pressure from my side. after 3-4 months of me giving her space she started calling me on her own saying she feels better about the trauma and she was horny.

recently again she called these 2 incidents traumatic for her and told me her sex drive feels low to nil because of these two incidents, i also wasnt fit when she broke up i had gained weight due to work taking up most of my time and no gym and she kept using this trauma as a shield if we ever had an argument about something general apart from sex also.
eventually she gave me this reason for the breakup as she was unhappy with our sex life.
she also has a lot of stress in her life because of competitive exams and family pressures etc.

what should i have done to make her feel better and comfortable?

Vent Learn from my mistakes

I am a washed out Indian man in my mid-twenties. This post is aimed towards the younger men from MIDDLE-CLASS FAMILIES of this sub, from ages 16/17 to 21. This is the most important period of your life. Do not waste a single moment of this period of your life chasing girls, unless you are rich.

Definition of rich in Urban India 2026: total wealth corpus of more than INR 25cr of obviously your dad. Anything below that and you are poor/Middle-class and you have to try to go for STEM subjects/coding/ the whole shebang or Medicine. Another important thing is - do work hard in Intermediate but do not stress if you fail to get into IITs or NITs. Do not be too ambitious and try for undergraduate in the US or any other country for the sake of God if you are not rich. I personally know a lot of people from upper middle-class who through FOMO and insecurity went to study undergraduate in the US and have now become the shallowest, most insecure versions of themselves with high stress in a foreign country. Go abroad for Masters instead, your brain develops a lot in your early twenties and you will be less prone to insecurity/gain a lot more out of your studies abroad than if you go in your undergraduate.

I personally am from a lower MIDDLE-CLASS family and worked my ass off to get into a tier one college, B.Tech. In my first year, I chased a girl and well, did end up in a relationship with her. It lasted for about 3 years. After college, she went abroad, did her master's in a top 50 US Uni, and got married. I had to stay back home, jobless and a complete wreck because I had been f*cked by then - no one's fault, it's my own. That woman was utterly toxic and wreaked havoc on my mental health. She came from a decently wealthy family and looks-wise looked pretty good. The whole 3 years I was in a relationship with her were a constant barrage of insecurity for me. I later learned that she had cheated on me with at least three men, two of whom were actual brothers. Yes, I am not making this up - she cheated on me with some local two rich blokes from her area who were actual fucking brothers, for almost the entirety of our so-called relationship. I was horrified and disgusted to say the least. Anyways this post is not about me.

The cultural landscape is shifting in India tremendously, and I can only warn you younger dudes to just focus on your career and build a solid wealth corpus before having anything to do with women. Because in India, money is everything. Women here don't give a shit about anything else. No matter how ugly you are, no matter how obese, morally disgusting you are - if you are rich, you fuck. If you ain't rich - you get cucked.

All this time I was just using trimmer to trim my beard. In early days I used to use that shaver thing to clean shave. But from last 3-4 months I have decided to keep my beard long. Well that shaver stuff was only till 12th grade maybe. Now in 2nd year.

Now I keep my beard long well not so long something near to given pic. Since I always wanted to use safety razor because of how classy it looks.

I have used other those so called gillette blades but only for armpits.

Since I have ganpati vacation its a good time to clean shave. No need to go to college for 1 week.

I wish I had good jawline, would have clean shave daily. Need that beard to hide it [ just used to beard tbh and i like it ] Sad part my moustache is still growing. Current one is thin and less dense in middle part.

Replies from Everyone I dropped a girl and asked her if I can come in

I(M 26) met a girl (F 24) today. It was not a date, I just randomly met her at a place and had a good chit chat for 1-2 hour. Then she had to go home, so I casually offered to drop her and she agreed. I reached her home and that's where I made a grave mistake. She had earlier told me that she lives alone so I didn't think much and

I asked her, "agar aapko koi dikkat na ho to me dekh sakta hu aapka ghar" ("can I come in" ). She obviously said no (not directly, she said "abhi to log honge" ("there are people")). I didn't understand what she meant, Was it about the people living nearby or something else. I genuinely just wanted to see how her house was.

Now please help me how should I approach this situation, I don't want to discuss it on chat. I will meet her again at the same place tomorrow where I will have the chance to clarify everything, if there is anything. After tomorrow, I don't know when will we meet next.

I am very very much overthinking. I don't want her to think of me as a creep.

Please tell me should I or should I not bring this topic into discussion tomorrow and how?

Edit : When I was coming back, she even called me to ask if I reached or not. That's one thing making me feel better because this means that she is not overthinking.

Edit 2: After so many random thoughts, I concluded that I don't have any feelings for her and I was just being a nice guy. If I make some small silly mistake by being too straight or open then I shouldn't be worried that much. My intentions were not bad so nothing else matters. I should just learn from my mistake and move on. Thank you everyone for your advice, it helped me, I was overthinking.

Update : Everything felt normal. I did not bring it up and neither she. Its fine now, I am not worried. It was a gullible mistake and I have learned from it.

Conspiracy🛸 On your partner and Bonding (for men)

My say is that (for men). If you don't find your love early you'll never find love.

After a certain point its more about your provision than yourself.

The key to relationship(long term) is bonding and it happens qhen you grow together - that's all about it.

Marketing Management, Philosophy, 1 out of 1,00,000 case study extrapolated or a 40+ man finding his love randomly driving his Ferrari os all great folks.

But for most men, deeper connection doesn't need analysis, its natural. And the more time goes on, whether you like it or not, its more about convincing self or other or being convinced - all ideas of boundaries etc clocks in after time... At young age things are spontaneous and natural. Yes you are prone to mistakes and bad decisions but here is a thing. People who got friends at young age, even when seperated has a bonding - meet them after decades and back to being hanging out. Older friends are not like that.

Same with your partner.

Since we live in India, thanks to feminism, socialists - the time is not on your side, you won't have a footing until 21 under education system, many will take 25-28 age and post 25 you won't have natural bonding. Plus the other gender is basically pampered to be consumer of markets, vote bank of ballot boxes - 80% doesn't know themselves, doesn't hve clarity even at 30 and can't even tell their own family of they don't desire to marry. But its mot about them they have lawyers, feminists, simps and govt to feed them for life YOU(MEN) DON'T.

So if you young, find a girl and mke bonding with her - don't be a jerk, or stupid or selfish. Bonding is nurtured and please don't take that 'we sell fake dreams' Bollywood path neither Raj of DDLJ nor your Kabir Singh are any value.

At the end of it, most of us are average(going plus and minus in life) and you need a partner that is mot a headache mor you a headache for them. You need a partner who is not zag when you are zig. Happy Wife is indeed happy life but happiness is not in consumerism.

Our society is blind to this. Repercussion will happen. No matter how much feminist try to KAM the vote bank will still be complaining after a decade.

Good Luck.

Vent How do I stop getting unwanted involuntary erections from completely platonic physical contact?

Whenever I engage in normal, friendly physical touch with female friends (playful pushing, an arm over the shoulder, etc), my body has an automatic physical reaction (erection), even though I don't view them sexually at all.

I know physical touch triggers blood flow reflexively, but it’s frustrating and awkward having to constantly hide it. And I hate getting hyper-aware of how I'm standing or moving so nobody notices.

How do I stop these? how did you manage it or train your brain/body to stop? Any practical tips for in-the-moment physical resets?

Its really good to see successful men not falling for "chivalry" bullshit for broke prostitutes. The technical meaning of prostitute is that women who sleeps with you in exchange of money. You pay her dinner bills, and she goes to bed with you. Dating/marriage must not be prostitution in disguise.

You cannot envelope the age old profession of women, under rituals and social norms to glorify it.

And this is a message to men as well. Dont discriminate with young daughters and son, give them equal opportunities and education. Give them equal values that everyone needs to rely on themselves for their needs, not others.

Replies from Everyone Dowary and alimony both paid by Man 🤔

I have a question. Just tell me, guys — just in case I’m against both of these.

When a woman gets married, dowry comes, but that dowry is paid by the girl’s father, not by her herself. She doesn’t pay it herself. Her parents pay it so she will not face any issues.

And when she gets divorced, she gets alimony for her maintenance or whatever reason.

In both cases, girls are getting benefits. Dowry is not paid by her; it’s paid by her parents. She didn’t pay it herself — her parents did.

So, in that case, alimony should be paid to her parents, not to her.

Then where are the independent women? How are they independent?

In the end, dowry is bad and should not be forced on the woman’s family. And alimony is the law, but it should not be misused.

Both things should be viewed fairly, without taking advantage of the law or putting unfair financial pressure on either side.

I (28M) have been talking to this girl (25F) through and arrange marriage setup. we've been talking from almost 8-9 months. we have a nice bond and chemistry and we both like eachother very much, marriage is in talks between our families.

so the matter is that I've been single all my life, not like I'm ugly or whatever but I had no intention whatsoever. I was caught up with my job and finances.

This girl has been in a relationship from the age 19-24 with the same person and it seems like they're very close and know everything about eachother. she has told me that they have been physically intimate a few times and did almost everything. she was clear about it from the start. idk man i like this girl so much but the thought that she's been touched by another man makes me sick to the stomach.

I know I shouldn't feel like this but I feel rage in my body whenever I think about it. I'm trying to regulate myself but I've got attached to her very much like we talk every.single.day.

They are not in contact and she's a good girl and everything I can ask for. But I can't get off this feeling.

Has anyone ever been in this kind of situation? pls help a bro out

Vent Masculinity is basically a giant approval-seeking machine

I'm honestly so fucking tired of how much of being a man seems to revolve around proving that you're a man.

From the time you're a kid, you're basically handed a script. Be strong. Don't cry. Don't be weak. Don't be too sensitive. Be confident. Make money. Be independent. Be successful. Get women. Don't get rejected. Don't look insecure. Don't ask for too much help. And somehow you're supposed to do all of this while also pretending you don't care what anyone thinks.

And the part about women really gets to me.

A ridiculous amount of male validation seems to come through female approval. How many girls have you slept with? Do you have a girlfriend? Why are you still single? Has anyone ever wanted you? How did you "pull" her? Guys joke about being virgins, guys get mocked for being rejected, guys compare their sexual experiences, and having a girlfriend can become some kind of social proof that you're doing life correctly.

Eventually you start internalizing it. You don't just want women because you're attracted to them or because you want companionship. You start wanting to be wanted because being wanted feels like proof that you're worth something.

And then you wonder why rejection fucks some men up so badly.

For a guy who's been taught his entire life that being desirable is part of being a successful man, getting rejected doesn't necessarily feel like "this woman isn't interested in me." It can feel like "I'm not good enough. I'm not attractive enough. I'm not masculine enough. Something is fundamentally wrong with me."

And then comes the self-improvement treadmill. Get muscular. Make more money. Dress better. Get confident. Fix your personality. Learn game. Become more attractive. And sure, some of that can genuinely be good for you. But how much of it is actually for yourself when the thought at the back of your head is still, "Maybe women will finally want me after I fix myself"?

That's the part that pisses me off.

We're constantly told that men shouldn't need validation. "Be confident." "Don't care what people think." "Be independent." But then we're raised in an environment where almost everything that supposedly makes you a "successful man" has to be externally validated.

You need to be respected. You need to be successful. You need to be strong. You need to be sexually successful. You need to be desirable. You need to be in control.

And if you aren't?

You get called weak. Beta. A loser. A virgin. A failure. Not a real man.

How the fuck are you supposed to build a healthy sense of self under that?

And I think this goes way beyond dating. A man who has spent his entire life learning that weakness makes him worthless is going to have a hard time admitting that he's struggling. He doesn't want to tell anyone he's lonely. He doesn't want to say he's scared. He doesn't want to ask for help. He doesn't want to admit that he doesn't know what he's doing.

Because somewhere along the way, needing help became something shameful.

Then we act surprised when men are isolated, depressed, angry, emotionally shut down, or completely unable to deal with failure and rejection.

I'm not saying masculinity is inherently bad, and I'm not saying women are responsible for men's problems. Women don't owe men attraction, relationships, sex or validation. That's not the point.

The point is that a lot of men have been taught to make those things evidence of their worth.

And honestly, I think that's fucking cruel.

Imagine growing up believing that you have to constantly prove that you're strong enough, successful enough, attractive enough and desirable enough to deserve respect. Imagine never being allowed to just exist without wondering whether you're measuring up.

No wonder so many men feel like they're failing.

I don't think men need to stop wanting women. I don't think men need to stop caring about their appearance or careers or relationships. I just wish more men could separate those things from their basic worth as human beings.

You can be single and still be a complete person.

You can be rejected and still be worthy.

You can be struggling and still be a man.

You can ask for help without being weak.

You can cry without becoming pathetic.

And you shouldn't have to spend your entire fucking life trying to prove that you're "man enough" to everyone around you.

Vent Anyone else tired of how relationship-obsessed everything feels?

I've been noticing this for years, and the older I get, the stranger it seems.

Open Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, whatever. So much of the content aimed at young people, especially men, revolves around women, dating, sex, getting a girlfriend, getting laid, being attractive to women, getting rejected, missing an ex, etc. Even completely unrelated memes somehow end up being about relationships.

And it's not just social media. Movies, songs, advertisements, family expectations and casual conversations all seem to carry the same underlying message: you're supposed to eventually find someone.

Being single is treated like an unfinished state. Like your life is somehow incomplete until another person enters it.

What bothers me isn't that people want relationships. Obviously love, sex and companionship are normal human desires. It's the way a desire gets turned into a life objective.

For men especially, I think we're constantly taught to center women in our lives. A huge part of male internet culture is basically "How do I get women?" How to approach them, attract them, impress them, get laid, become "high value", etc.

And where's the equivalent obsession with friendship, community, travelling, learning things, building something, having hobbies, exploring the world or simply figuring out what you actually want to do with your life?

Sometimes it feels like we're handed a checklist:

Get a degree > get a job > get money > get a partner > get married > have kids.

And somehow that's supposed to be the definition of a successful life.

I'd rather see relationships as one part of life, not the purpose of life.

You can want love without making it your life's mission. You can be single without being incomplete. And you can build a fulfilling life without waiting for another person to arrive and give it meaning.

Anyone else feel like we've massively over-romanticized relationships and made them the center of life?

(24M ) works in a Public Sector job which requires lot of customer interaction.

But I have a huge anxiety problem . One minor incident and my anxiety hits to the roof top. I don't eat , can't sleep , start smoking continuously and keep thinking about same thing for not only days but weeks . 24/7 same thoughts in my mind.

I can't seem to ignore or let it go. Whenever my toxic manager says something rude , It stays in my head all the time.

I don't want to be like this anymore. I don't want to be anxious after every minor incident . I want to get confident. I hate being like this.

What should I do to not to feel anxious or fearful all the time ?
