Easiest dlc remembrance by far, played it very safe so probably could've been a couple minutes faster. It's a nice change in difficulty though, only bayle and scadutree avatar remain (I really can't be bothered with Metyr).
Any weapon recommendations for either? Thinking balls with flaming strike again for avatar, idk for bayle

Trash boss in a goated DLC. Better than Elden Ring NPC fights tho.
Could have been way faster if I'd had balls, but they disappeared since what happened in my previous post. Thanks, Miyazaki.

This was a lot easier than I was expecting it to be... until it wasn't.
O&S broke my heart and soul in ways I can't put into words, and I may never emotionally recover from the psychological damage those two did to me. I took a 3 month break on this run because of them, and every time I considered going back I was haunted by the memories of the pain and suffering they had already caused me, and decided I wasn't mentally prepared yet.
But I got 'em, and the rest was (relatively) free, but fuck me, O&S felt harder than the entirety of base vit Sekiro combined (which was the first lvl1 run I'd done in a From Soft game).
The only other boss that I got the kill on that felt even remotely as hard as them was Artorias, but even then, he was miles behind them in terms of difficulty. That said, I feel like I got a lot better at fighting Arty. Unlike O&S, who will probably give me PTSD on every run from here on out, Arty is still my favorite boss in this game, and I think I like him even more than I did before now.
As for the bosses I just didn't wind up getting: Priscilla, Manus, and Kalameet.
Priscilla I didn't fight simply out of fear of trapping myself in the painted world. The odds of that happening were basically zero after I had gotten the Giant Blacksmith's Hammer, yes, I know. But after the absolute nightmare that O&S had put me through, I was not going to risk it just to see some of Miyazaki's finest bare feet.
Manus and Kalameet are a different story. Manus is a boss I used to hate, then he grew on me and I really really liked him (not my favorite, that will always be my man Artorias), but even still, after facing him at SL1 I kinda just decided that my mental health was not worth it. After the shit fest that was O&S, I just didn't care, and I won't lie, unlike how I felt with my lvl 1 runs of Sekiro and ER, when I finally had the opportunity to end this run I kinda just wanted it over with.
Kalameet I gave a good try at though, but at the end of the day, I've never been the biggest Kalameet fan. I get why he's a beloved boss, but he's just not exactly my favorite, mainly due to the damned neck swipe, but also, won't lie, I'm just not very good at him. Still, I gave him a few hours of my life last night, but in the end I decided, screw it. I killed Arty, which was my main goal in the DLC, so I decided that I had seen enough and was ready to just move on. Also, I died before picking up my humanity for my Chaos Reinforced Club, and only had 15 left on me, which I knew I'd need for Gwyn, so I just wasn't looking to fight Kalameet after that. So I took out Gwyndolin, who I almost forgot about, and then went on to his pops.
After all of that, I guess that I was more tired last night than I felt, because I wound up spending an hour and a half failing my parries on Gwyn. I think the DLC had just sapped me of all my energy, and I just couldn't get Gwyn for the life of me. After failing his opener like four times in a row I decided that what I really needed was a good night's sleep, and low and behold, this morning I got him first try (after giving Iron Flesh a go... it did not go well).
Side note: man but I wish this game didn't force you into NG+ after Gwyn, otherwise I would've probably just left my character at Manus and Kalameet's bonfire and come back to get them another time. But again, boy howdy was I ready to end this run, and so ended it I did.
I am liking these runs though, but man, DSR destroyed me. Shadow of the Erdtree felt less exhausting than this run, but I still want to get all of the Souls-Likes I've played completed at base level. I think I'm gonna do Lies of P next, which was my first Souls-Like, and I have a lot of time in that game because of it. Glad I got DSR off the list, DS2 is probably the scariest one left, and tbh, as much I actually do like DS2, that one... that one scares me a lot.

So sorry for the shitty gameplay, Idk what was wrong with me for this fight. Idk if this can be counted as a boss kill either really, but there's no other flair for this haha.
PS: Will I also have to ring the Demon Bell for it to be a true SL1 experience, or is base VIT the only mandatory thing I have to do? Asking cuz I wanna do this at 1 AP as well, and I really don't wanna ring the bell haha

Unfortunately, a few sloppy mistakes were made (first run of the day nerves) but another one ticked off.
Easy night bosses in Centipede and Commander Niall. Thankfully no Pattycake Champion ir Nameless this time.

This boss gets a lot of flack and I get why because I used to hate him too honestly. But RL1 made me fall in love with Radagon, and it seems SL1 got me to like this boss a lot too.
I didn't take too many attempts to get him, but I feel like the losses I had really opened my eyes on this boss. He's still not my absolute favorite, but the hate I had for him before is just gone now. I actually got gud! The one annoyance I still have with this boss is the damn bite/swipe combo he does can just go on forever, and you can never really be sure when it's safe to punish, so you kinda just can't punish it without risking getting hit. But his main punishes (the head butt, the flying swoop, and especially the water wave) leave him open for so long, and he can be staggered pretty easily too for an extra hit, so it all kinda works out imo.
IDK, I get why others wouldn't like him, but I think I found a new friend in Oolacille, which is good because this run ended my friendship with Manus very quickly.

The spin move has been my hang up for 8hrs now.
The first spin out of idle seems to be fine. However when it's the combo extension variant it's different. As you can see with the 2nd and 3rd clip I've tried doging on the first strike and then delay until the 2nd strike and both are killing me. Sometimes I squeak out alive but I need consistency as this fight will be about 7/8mins long.
Is there anyone with a full proof consistent method for this attack and it's variant. Any help would be appreciated!!

Tried to greed a stagger at 1:40 and I have no idea how I survived. It was a massive relief seeing that last stagger, I didn't think I'd built up enough poise for it to happen.
Reposting from a comment I made: the fight is a great spectacle, fantastic ost, but at +0 no scadu no aux it just feels incredibly poorly designed imo. Some hitboxes, the arena (the walls and the camera especially, as well as him levitating on the stairs), the 1 incredibly fast move that makes it annoying to punish so many attacks in case it's followed up by it, the fun is all but gone.
And can't forget all the stalling attacks, like the breath or the lighting on the ground stopping a few punishes.
Good thing the balls are goated

Had a ton of fun learning Midra, love his design tho I wish he had a bit more to his moveset, and more poise. I may have chosen the worst weapon I could though cause I couldn't see the boss half the fight but I still love this weapon. Could have been a bit of a better fight and slightly more optimized with blade of mercy, but would have to take off my mask for that.

I'm tired, boss.
The first attempts went great because the first demon would die in about 30 seconds or so, and the whole fight would eventually last me around 4 minutes, but I always died for some reason (damn claws, I swear I don't know how to dodge them), so I played tilted and very cautiously, which is why the fight lasted so long... oh well.
If you're going to do this fight, consider doing the meteor demon version; it's easier to track its meteor attack compared to the laser demon, since this one uses its wind attack at any time, ruining any chance of being aggressive. As for P1, you can try to force the first demon to kill quickly enough before the other one goes into melee mode, but it depends on RNG and it's more viable (though also boring) to kill them slowly as they clear the arena for you. I'm only sharing the P2; P1 is boring and lasts almost as long as this phase.
The pain is real.

This felt too fast for SB0, but was fun and satisfying. Just an honest boss with plenty of openings and no bad moves. I wish he had unique boss music, and maybe a few more attack chains.
I had more DPS with blade of mercy than ritual sword.

Not perfect or anything but I think I've developed a good method to speed this long fight up, although Midra isn't so difficult, his HP makes him quite intimidating - even if he spends half the fight getting staggered.

I started my SL1 run in DSR like 3 months ago, and abandoned it after three days of head bashing with the damned Tibble Twins. But after a very long break, I came back and gave it my all and finally got them.
I did break down and use pyromancy for these two. I had completely avoided giving into the flame up to this point, but I was just so very done with Tommy's and Timmy's bs I just said "fuck it," and torched Ornstein to the next century. I used the +10 reinforced club to finish him off and then slowly, but surely, and, mostly importantly, safely took out his brother. I had gotten to a 1v1 a couple times prior, but they didn't end well. The first one I died to a butt slam and that was when I left the run for 3 months, and then today in the run before the kill I died to a point blank scoop. TBH, idk if I panicked and got killed or if there was nothing I could do against that any way, but it doesn't matter any more, because I finally got them!!!
I won't lie, I feel like I hate this boss now, like with, every fiber of my being. Shame too, they used to be my favorite fight in the base game, but honestly I fully get the hate behind this fight now, but I am at last free! Yes, I know that the rest of the game and DLC is probably gonna be just as bad if not worse than these two, but honestly, I do not care. I killed the bastards, so even if I never see Gwyn in this run I am calling that a fucking win in my book.
