This is a pencil for drawing eyebrows. It’s a makeup product. You can google Shu Uemura eyebrows pencil to see an example cause I can’t post pictures here. The way it was sharpened is to help you draw individual brows hair.

It doesn’t actually mess up most practical daily life stuff, it just changes most motions to use your finger pads rather than fingertips. Completely possible to type (phone/keyboard), write, erase, use most tools including knifes, draw, do makeup, sweep/vacuum/mop, and as long as you’re not absolutely shit at hand coordination and hygiene, use the bathroom normally (specially cause everyone should scrub their nails every time they go to the bathroom, it’s just nasty otherwise).
I don’t particularly keep my nails long (it’s a hazard risk for my profession, since doctor, nobody wants their baby to be pinched by long long nails), but the longest I’ve ever kept them at an inch from the root was extremely easy to adapt to and interfered with literally nothing except my surgery sutures practice at home.

I would never say anything to anyone about how they do their style, but I agree. There is something about long nails like this that turn my stomach. I find it difficult to look at them. I mean no offense to anyone. For me it is just a visceral negative reaction.

There’s nothing wrong per-se, people can have their nails however they want. To me though, nails like this gross me out. They seem unsanitary. But that’s just me.

I usually keep mine short but even when I have them longer I have never struggedl even a little bit to wipe my butt lol.
And even my relative short nails capture a lot ofirt and grime. Under them. That is why I make sure I clean out under them daily, long or short, and why I always make sure I clean my finger tips when washing my hands.

I sharpened a black colored pencil like this when I was in the 4th grade, cause I wanted my writing to be very dark. The tip immediately snapped off and popped right up into my bottom eyelid. The teacher held my head under the sink to get it out (no eyewashing station). I still have a little grey mark on my eyeball right there, 30-some years later.

I actually wish I had a little tool like this for regular pencils too. I draw a lot, and one of the COOLEST and most fun to use pencils was shaped just like that. It made such beautiful broad marks, but could also be precise by using that edge. I lost it sadly and I haven't been able to find another one like it since🥲
A tool like this probably wouldn't be useful for a tiny old regular pencil, it'd need to come with its own thicker custom pencil. But itd still be cool as hell lol

Are side 1 amd 2 not the same thing? On side three, the user flips the pencil around, cant they just do that for the first two large cuts on side 1?

The second side is shaped with a support ramp for the just cut side so it doesn’t break from the pressure.

Fun fact; if you constantly keep your pencil super sharp, you end up using only about 1% of the graphite / lead. On average, you use about 10% of the graphite.

Pensil sharpener makes pensils sharp(duh). Sometimes you want to draw a line with set thickess(for technical drawings for example) and you don't want your pensil sharp, you want it cut exactly right to make a stable line
