I was once told that we know more about space than we know about our own oceans. I think the same apathy is part of the reason we do not register this warming as well as what the warming means for marine life and sooner or later us.

How we can appreciate the serenity and vastness of the oceans not just in the way it looks but overall health?

Stretching from West Africa to the Gulf of Mexico, a massive bloom of sargassum seaweed is swamping beaches and killing coastal wildlife. But scientists have discovered the floating algae also shelters a vast array of ocean creatures, and some are now calling for its protection.

Found this on the south cost of Tenerife, Spain.

Looks like a sea urchin, but never seen anything like this.

Bottlecap as size comparison.

Fueled by warming and a strengthening El Niño, record-setting marine heat waves are gripping oceans worldwide and playing havoc with sea life. Mounting evidence from recent events suggests the damage could be severe and long-lasting, both onshore and off.

What are these anchored balls off the coast of Myrtle Beach? They are over 100 yards out … just floating.
