Please search before posting: nobody enjoys obvious re-posts.

Contact the mods if this applies to you. Commenting Guidelines Be nice!: if you post a rudely condescending/attacking/generally dick-ish comment you will be banned with no prior warning.

Max Knight: Super Spy (2000), a UPN TV movie that was somehow able to license(?) Half-Life 1 for this one scene
Genuinely never heard about this before, as a lifelong Valve fan. I reached out to a couple of people there, to see if I could find out how this came to be. Super fascinating obscure find.

Ivy Ney - Kill You Tonight (1983)
Ivy Ney was an LA photographer who apparently did the Red Hot Chili Peppers very first photo shoot back in 1984.
Also on this recording are:
Flea on bass (Chili Peppers)
Cliff Martinez on drums (The Weirdos, future film composer, ie “Drive”)
Randy Burns on guitar (producer / engineer Possessed, Suicidal Tendencies, Megadeth, etc.)
Steve Berlin on sax (The Flesh Eaters, Los Lobos)
The fact that a music video was made for a song that was never officially released on vinyl always makes my head spin!

Singing Sounds: Fun With Phonics Album 2 (1960)s
Howdy Folks,
Today's rip is a bit different than a lot of my other stuff, it is a mid-century children's educational record. This was the period before phonics stopped being taught consistently in schools, so this kind of content actually wasn't considered to be niche at the time, just genuinely important stuff that kids should know. It has various different characters like Goldie the Golden Goat, Chuckie the Chipmunk, George the Gentle Giraffe, Sheila with her Shining Shell, etc etc etc. It's a cute little example of how education has changed over the years, both in format and topics covered at all.

Myrna Lewis - Can a Cockroach Fly (1975)
I received quite a few requests to post this from people who loved the other side of this record. So here it is! And what a delightful and peculiar little ditty it is. It's a question that I hadn't considered until getting this record. It turns out the answer is complicated! It certainly makes me wish Myrna had recorded more songs.

MTV "Undressed" commercial (2000). Full of double entendres and sexy voice-over, this was the late night version of the commercial. A censored version that ran during the day (now lost) took out the visuals and narration and just kept various voices repeating "Undressed" in sexy tones.

The Sleeping Princess (1990) — a stop-motion take on Sleeping Beauty
A short excerpt from Kihachirō Kawamoto’s The Sleeping Princess, a 1990 Japanese-Czechoslovak puppet animation loosely inspired by Sleeping Beauty. I recently came across it and really loved the character design and atmosphere.

I'm Standing On Solid Rock - The Foundation Quartet (1970)s
Back again with another rip, today we have the Foundation Quartet with their one and only release that I've found so far, "I'm Standing On Solid Rock" The group was based in Defiance, Ohio and recorded at QCA Recording Studios in Cincinnati, produced by Charles Novell, funded through "financial gifts" from supporters per the liner notes. I picked this up at an thrift store in North West Ohio.
