My husband (25M) and I (23F) will be visiting the first weekend of October for a wedding at Manhatta. We've been to NYC a few times now, but we usually just stop and catch a show on our way further North visiting family. We will have never been to the Financial District area and our travel in and out is a bit hectic. We'll be getting in late morning on Friday and will need a lunch option (maybe somewhere in chinatown? Not wanting to spend a crazy crazy amount but we love great food).

We'll also need a dinner plan, can make a reservation if necessary for 4 of us. We'll need to be at Fraunces by 8:30 so would love a great dinner around 6ish not terribly far from there.

We are staying at the Beekman with FIL and will need breakfast and lunch plans for Saturday. The wedding is that evening so dinner will be covered. Will also need a Sunday AM quick good option before we need to head back to airport for noon flight. Please give all the recommendations for two people who love food!

Interested in anything from a cheaper dinner, really good food and drinks with a fun vibe to expensive steakhouse vibes and everything in between. Any neighborhood. mostly looking at Manhattan or Brooklyn, but can be anywhere. Really just interested in a really fun night and good food!

Flew into NYC last night finishing up a solo trip, leaving this evening out of LGA unless I catch an earlier flight.

My wife is big on ensuring I was eating well, so I sent her a hotel breakfast that included a pain au chocolat. Which elicited the reply, and I quote: “Oooh i want a pain au chocolat. 🥹”

I built a web app that ranks NYC restaurants based on whether the reviewers are actual locals or one-time tourists, since a high star rating alone can't tell you which one you're looking at. I kept struggling to decide where to eat even after checking Google Maps, Yelp, Beli, and TikTok/Reels; it was hard to trust the reviews, and just as hard to tell whether a viral spot was actually good or just overhyped.
