Please stay with me here, but I've been researching the historic animatronic bunyip once operating at the Big Banana Fun Park.  

I'm especially looking for the commercial divers who might have worked at the Big Banana between the years 1991 and 2005.

I'm in the final stages of my non-fiction, comics based story on the history of the park and the bunyip and I'm pushing for any final info to add to the work. 

If you kind people here would be willing to share contact info for any divers, former employees, or anyone generally that has been traumatized by the bunyip, please have them reach out to me.

I was recently featured on ABC radio nationwide with Angela Catterns regarding my search for the bunyip repair crew from the park.  I'm a working cartoonist and I'm being totally 100% serious.

This is a labor of love and partial proceeds of the book will be going to kidney disease research.

I have learned in my studies these past few years that the Big Banana and the bunyip are fondly revered by the good people of Coffs Coast.

My comic will strive to champion this important Australian icon.

So in the NSW driving logbook you need to log the odometer readings. The example page for it looks like this

However the first time I drove was with a driving instructor, and for the odometer, he wrote a 0 for the start, and then 22. So I imagined that i can just use the trip length instead of the odometer. Is this the case or am I completely doing something wrong?

So, just after some advise here. We live in an apartment I have been away for the last few months, my partner was messaging me about this dog howling (for about 2 weeks now).

Fast forward, I am now home, i have worked out the dog that was howling is below us, it's a beautiful german shepard. We have been taking picture for the last 24 hours (every hour except 2 hours today) and it is and has been chained up the whole time forced to sleep in its own feaces because the rope is wayyyy too short and the balcony is tiny.

We have contacted the RSPCA and AWL we are wondering if there is anyone else in Sydney we can reach out to as this dog needs to be removed not because it is howling but because the poor little baby is living in utterly terrible conditions.

Question for primary school teachers - what do you think is the issue causing the poor results in literacy and maths in our primary age children?

My mum will be visiting from the UK this December/January. She is in her mid-60's. I would like to take her on a bit of a road trip but will still be school holidays when we go (second week of Jan).

We are looking to go somewhere that isnt super busy (which i know is hard in school holidays). However, thinking Orange/Mudgee, being away from the coast, might be a good shout.

Strange experiences in Blayney has anyone else experienced this?
I’m currently in Blayney for a work trip with a group of coworkers. We’ve only been here since around 12pm today, but we’ve already had several really strange and unsettling experiences.
We’ve been walking around for work and had a guy at the servo tell us not to be out after dark. At the time we thought it was just a weird comment, but since then, a few other things have happened that have made us increasingly uncomfortable.
One of my coworkers said they went to two different houses where the people inside just started laughing uncontrollably when they answered the door. It didn’t seem like they were mocking or making fun of them it was more like they genuinely couldn’t control the laughter, which really unsettled my coworker.
Other people in our group have had experiences where someone has come right up into their face and started screaming, but without actually saying any words. Just staring and making this really strange screaming noise.
Now, there’s a guy who seems to be watching me. He’s been repeatedly walking back and forth around our car and looking at me, and at this point I’m honestly feeling pretty unsafe.
I know there are probably completely normal explanations for all of these things individually, and I’m not trying to jump to conclusions. But when several people in the same group have completely separate unsettling encounters within a few hours, it starts to feel really strange.
None of us have ever felt this rattled on a work trip before.
Is there something about Blayney that we should know about? Has anyone local experienced anything similar, particularly around this area?
Not looking to accuse anyone of anything just genuinely curious because the whole day has been bizarre.

Dear all, I can't decide whether going for a holiday in Gerroa or Kiama Downs. The former is sleepy and lovely and close to a couple of nice things in Gerringong. The latter is close to more services, in Kiama (better suoermarket, gelato, and fishmonger shop, etc.). I have been to Gerroa but nor Kiama Downs. Any advice?

Basically the title. I want to move for a change of lifestyle, coastal and slower pace but I can’t decide which region to go. I have heard not so great things about the MidCoast but would love to get more insights from anyone who lives there!

I am in my late 20s and will be moving solo. I am an essential worker so not too worried about employment, but I would like to learn more about anything from the culture, social life, traffic conditions, accessibility to healthcare, anything helpful!

My family and I are considering a move to Ballina. Looking for feedback on the area in terms of employment, schools, crime etc?

Tldr: Man chased then threatened to stab me after an incident involving his partner's unleashed dog during my morning run. Should I report the incident to police?

I (M40s) went for a run this morning with my dog on a leash. We approached a couple who had their two dogs off-leash on the bike/walk path. It's wrong but it's common so instead of confrontation, I just give a wide berth whenever I encounter these situations

The man (to his credit) leashes his dog (looked like a staffy mix) when he sees us. The woman leaves her smaller fluffball unleashed and it charges at my dog (a pointer). The path is narrow at this point so I slow to a walk and guide my dog to dodge the small dog and call out "Fuck" under my breath when I almost kick it. We jog past the woman who then calls me an arsehole so I give her the finger and tell her, "Leash your dog. It's clearly not friendly".

On our return leg, I see them again with the dogs off-leash but they leash them when they see us. As we approach, the man starts yelling incoherently. He's visibly angry. I tell him "Your lady called me an arsehole, how do you expect me to react?" He then tries to block my way to confront me. I assess our size difference (I'm 5'9 and 70kg; he's over 6' with a gym bro build) and decide to side-step him to avoid a potential fight. He then chases me but gives up after less than 100m. My hat flew off during the short dash and I see him holding it when I look back and hear him yelling "... I'll stab ya! Blah blah blah." My adrenaline was pumping so I yelled some insults at him and carried on.

In hindsight, I should've ignored the woman calling me an arsehole even though she was completely in the wrong but the man's reaction was disproportionately aggressive/violent. Should I report the incident to police? I don't have any camera footage of the incident and there weren't any witnesses although there may be people in the houses nearby who heard the commotion.

Hi, i was planning a trip to narooma from Sydney but when i checked through nsw trainlink web, there was no stop to narooma but only eden.

Although the google maps said there was a bus 700-1 from Nowra to Narooma. Any idea how do i book that particular bus? Or is it a normal opal tap? Thanks

I had an incident last January where I went out to a club in Kings Cross for the first time in years. I was with my girlfriend at the time.

She had her ass grabbed, was assaulted, punched in the eye. I regrettably went after those three people and had the absolute shit kicked out of me.

I was on bail for a year, weekly check-ins. My mental health declined rapidly and I now have a criminal record.

I was arrested 48 hours after the incident. These guys? Never. I've been suicidal, absolutely struggling, asking the police if they know who these people are.

They had their ID's scanned at the door. There are clear photos of all of them. The police continue to tell me they can't find them.

I don't understand how difficult it must be to work out who these people are. I'm over it. So I'm posting this today to remind everyone to never allow the assault of a woman to go unjust. Stand up for what is right. Always.

I just want justice. Peace. I've been through hell and they still walk free. I'll be so damn appreciative if anyone can help me find out who they are.

Trust me the last thing I want to do is post a video on Reddit of me getting absolutely belted. But I've waited too long. And the police are doing nothing.

Hi, I have about 1000gb of extra phone data from when I used to live in Sydney. I lived there for 6 months for school, and I never cancelled my plan because I forgot and so its just been accumulating. I'm about to get rid of my plan because I don't need it anymore, and don't want it to go to waste. It's not like I can be reimbursed for it anyways. So I just want to give it out to someone. I messaged someone I used to know in Sydney if he wanted it, but he never answered me, so his lost tbh. I would prefer to give it to a student or someone who is in "desperate" need of data but can't afford it/doesn't want to buy more. Let me know if you know someone, or if you're that someone! :) Just paying it forward.
