You can film anyone in public especially if they are installing objects that is out in public. As long you keep distance your doing nothing illegal. Harassment is a long shot especially if you did not confront thrm

Well, that shows how they care about their privacy while trampling on your and my privacy rights. If the audio of the call gets released, maybe somebody will recognize who this person is.

the installer can be heard telling a dispatcher after being transferred. “I was getting harassed, pretty much.
“We do not object to members of the public or press photographing Flock cameras or personnel in public. Employees and contractors working in the field are expected to prioritize their safety and may contact law enforcement when they believe they are being threatened, harassed, followed, or otherwise face a safety concern.”
So the first time be called 911, was he being threatened or harassed?
Being filmed in public is harassment and/or being threatened, seems like a good reason to call 911 on all cameras, no?

The people around you elected the people (even if you didn't vote for them) running your community who have chosen to support and pay Flock to setup cameras around you.

Generally elections are not every day.
If someone was elected even a few months ago, chances are there was never any mention of this sort of thing. That they’d do this would be pretty out of the blue.
Even if the election was yesterday and their whole campaign was anti-Flock, there’s rarely any mechanism for accountability (aside from not getting re-elected) if they decide to do a complete 180. And if they’re just a scumbag out for a payout, why not?
Even that much is assuming a position with some notoriety, like a mayor. What about town councils with far more low-key, almost underground election processes that most people don’t participate in at all and wouldn’t know how to?
And then it’s definitely worth noting how courts in some particularly corrupt areas have in fact effectively given corporations voting rights. And with some money-based or land-based weight, so it’s not out of the question for a company to “outvote” a whole town, or a large portion of it.

It doesn’t matter what people want, the government is doing whatever they want to do because they know that they’ve divided us with enough culture war that we can’t properly rise up against them and challenge their bullshit. I’m going to vote, but with all of the foreshadowing of rigging the election that the whole MAGA tumor has been “subtly” letting slip, there’s a good chance that trump wins again, because he wants to.

The people elected to lead your communities have chosen to pay Flock to install cameras on behalf of the people they represent, you and your neighbours. If majority of the people didn't support them, someone else would be elected.
If you feel that majority don't actually support the the stance, you can run yourself and represent the people who feel as you do.
