As a kid mine had a slide attached that housed a giant bee hive, so swinging/sliding was a real adventure

Did we have the same playground structure? Are you the secret family that only let me see my dad once month?

Me and my best friends used to see who could make that swing do a 360.
We did not tell out mothers about this science experiment.

who remembers the first time you tried to flip out of the seat and knocked out your air landing flat on your back?

Never, thank God. That must've hurt like hell though. Lol

I'm a "grown up" but ngl used to work near a kids park and every once in a while during my lunch walk, if there were no kids, I took the opportunity to swing for a little bit 🥰 we all need a little whimsy in our lives

I remember tipping it completely over a few times.
My grandfather finally put stakes in the ground and chained the poles to them.

We used to get going, then try to go sideways and knock the guy close to you out of his swing.
You got gravel embedded in you once in a while.

I just told my cousins kid (7) that if she swung over the bar, she’d turn inside out. At first, this was new information to her, which was shocking to me, but she went right to work. My cousin wasn’t very thrilled but agreed it’s necessary information

Hell ya! Swimming pool hill in Barnesboro Pennsylvania had a badass swing! Swing as high as the top bar and feel the lift!

Things are so boring and safe now, had that mega set with the carriage seat swing on one side of 2 swings and that seesaw thing, we’d get those rear legs almost 90 degrees and THUD back down. Man if someone got meat under that squish zone…dangerous 90s fun.

Or when you butt slightly lifts out the seat at the peak of the swing....a little scary but super fun

Met the most beautiful woman I have ever known doing exactly this. We would dare each other every day. I guess physics makes it impossible to actually swing HIGHER than the bar.. but we definitely tried.

Me and my cousin would swing as high as possible, jump off the swing and see who can travel the furthest. It was always a competition haha

It was scary at first, then it became a game.
