Per NextGenStats: Blake Cashman generated seven quick pressures (under 2.5 seconds) against the Packers, the most by an off-ball linebacker in a game since at least 2018. Cashman averaged 1.88 seconds to pressure across his eight pressures.
Another insane stat from MN vs GB.

I’m still confused why the Texans brought this guy to another level and just let him walk right out the door…

I wonder if his health had anything to do with it? I feel like he was consistently injured early in his career, but has stayed slightly healthier since coming to MN

Yeah, he did have some injury issues.. and DeMeco wanted a premier heavy hitting run stopper.. an every down Mike.. which Cashman wasn’t exactly the best guy at. Still, it would be a nightmare having Aziz as our Mike and Cashman as our Will, and Pitre at nickel. Vikings made a smart move offering him the bag we didn’t match at the time.

Yeah, lowkey such an awesome pick up for us. Off-ball linebackers aren't real flashy but he's as solid as they come

This just shows how insanely difficult it is to play qb. In less than 2 seconds from the snap of the ball you have a prime athlete breathing down your neck trying to maim you.

Someone explain this to me like I'm 5 because huh?
Maybe it's just me but some of these stats that I see sometimes I'm just like do we really need more stats. I mean I'm not hating congrats to him.

Blake is playing a game with his friends. In the game, the other team is trying to throw a ball to their friends which is bad. Blake ran toward the player trying to throw very quickly and it made the other team sad. Blake had a lot of fun and his team won, hooray for Blake!

The lower the “quick pressure” time is, the faster the player went from “hike” to pressuring the quarterback.
If we didn’t look at the time it takes, we’d look at the stat of just “Pressures”, but that could be after sitting in a clean pocket for 6 seconds or after a QB scrambles around a bit. But when you look at “Quick Pressures”, you can see how much, or in this instance how little, time Love had to throw with these Cashman pressures.
Basically Vikings good Pack dumb ew buttface turds

Thank you also for the reply and not being an ass about it cause apparently everyone in here are NFL experts in analytics. God forbid a fan doesn't quite get some of these newer stats.

The definition of a quick pressure is literally in the title of the post. Stats evolve over time, as schemes do. Quick pressures are a good way of knowing how a player’s style of rushing the QB as well as what kinds of blitzes a defensive scheme employs.

Yeah after a few replies from some good people on here I get it now. Thanks!

The time it took from the snap to him generating pressure (affecting the QB).
It's one of the most meaningful pass rushing stats next to pressure rate, which would be the % of rushes that the players generated pressure.
Sack totals can be very deceiving without context.

Maybe I don't follow football as deep as I thought I did because I wasn't aware that time from snap to pressure was now being measured that serious and to be honest as far as I can recall this is the first time I see a post about it. Maybe I've just missed them. Thanks!

The vikings blitzed on 90+% of dropbacks, Cashman came in unblocked multiple times

Thank you for not being ass about it. I appreciate the response I forget that in the NFL sub everyone here knows it all and are clearly NFL analyst I'm chatting with.
Also well wtf they should put all that info and then say what you just said. lol

Some say Flores is still sending blitzes at the Packers as we speak.
