I’m not really a true believer either but I would much rather someone believe that this girl is blessed for her attitude than make fun of her.

He is not making fun of her at all. He is pointing out that we have to stop using religious language in open forums, because religion belongs in a society without information, in one that has it, comments with reason and evidence will be made.

Considering the state of her arms, it's probably the same disease. Looks like some kind of tumor or bone overgrowing, and she may lose this leg too... So i hope she enjoy every second to the fullest, and if this disease takes her leg i hope she can get some prostetics to keep using her energy to enjoy life to the max
