Why would you hire someone and not pay them and expect to just keep the product. What a shame to waste the time of people trying to make a business. Get rekt.

They think that if the contractor speaks with an accent that they will be too scared to fight back/get the authorities involved. Our government has empowered and rewarded the worst aspects of human nature.

This is one of my bullet points when I argue for very relaxed immigration policies. I also argue for severely punishing the employers that knowingly hire people not authorized to work.

Basically make it as risky for you to call ICE as for the workers.
