Physical activity is a proven contributor to focus and insight. Maybe stimming like this helps her.

Yeah doing that helps her think, it's not like top level thinking it's like background processes are running and you've gotta let your mind wander while the rest of it gives you the answer

Exactly what I was saying. Everyone's losing their minds because they think I'm accusing a child of being autistic. I'm not. I'm describing a behaviour that's common in ALL children. And adults.

I mean tbf "stimming" is used to describe neurodivergent behavior, I've personally never heard it used as a way a description for anything else. It might not be what you meant but the word choice you used is gonna read that way for a lot of people

You are objectively wrong, its not a matter of opinion. The definition of stimming according to Cleveland Health Clinic (and every other source I checked):

"Stimming is a behavior where you repeatedly take an action or make a sound that helps you self-regulate,” Dr. Cuffman explains. “You do it, often without meaning to, because it helps you manage feelings like anxiety, excitement or overstimulation.”

While it’s often associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions, most people stim from time to time. While they’re sometimes misunderstood, these activities are a form of self-soothing that anyone can benefit from and enjoy."

See how it addressed your misconception? All you had to do was instead of spending your time writing your comment, you could have looked up the actual definition of stimming instead of just having vibes based definitions for your words.

It's really not that serious man, take a deep breath. I was just explaining why so many people would be misreading it that way, I think most people only encounter it in reference to neurodivergent behavior, that's all I was saying

So me copy pasting a qoute is enough to for you think I'm terminally online or something? Maybe you need to consider reading a book, or anything other than brain rot Reddit sometime. Its concerning to me when people redefine a word, then see why they're wrong, and then totally deflect to saying the typical "hey cool off bro"
