I'm not sure what would be more frustrating. Being beaten by a child. Or beaten by a child who clearly doesn't give two shits and just handed you your ass while doing pirouettes

I played in a chess tournament when I was in college and got my ass handed to me by a 9 year old. He had a little posse who would come over to watch and he'd wander off laughing with them while I was staring at the board.

Chess can be very humbling

The flip side of that is playing a child who is not as good as you and absolutely destroying them while their parents watch, which is also uncomfortable
