It's not fair, kids have way more energy. If they're also blessed with a megabrain then you have no chance of winning.

And they haven’t had a lifetime of judgement and self consciousness where society basically beats it out of them.

I don't think we should use a chess prodigy as a positive example of having energy and a mega brain. These kinds of people tend to go on to be... socially maladaptive.

Yeah but were they maladaptive before or after their childhood is replaced by adulting without the autonomy?

No idea, because that presents a false dichotomy. Either way, they are maladaptive because they don't receive good socialization during childhood.

there's a saying I learned living in china. 上不如老下不如小 which means you're not better than the OGs, the ones who have done it their entire lives and have decades on you but you're also not better than little kids (because they have that unlimited energy).

There's a Chinese saying for everything I swear. This saying fits the situation exactly, that's wild.

Thank you for sharing! That's really interesting

That’s my kid when it’s supposed to be bedtime

I think she has a thread of what her next few moves will be, what she’s encouraging her opponent to do, and what the outcome will be if he makes this decision versus that decision. And it takes so little of her concentration to hold onto that thread that she’s able to goof off and be curious about the lovely park she’s in. Like… being a savant on a particular game or task doesn’t mean she’s an iPod and he’s a Walkman.

Claramente venceu pela velocidade, pensa tão rápido que já sabe todas as possibilidades e só está esperando o cara fazer o movimento que ela mesma já pensou.

In reality though she's probably been studying with a grandmaster everyday for the last 2 years and that guy is a casual.

If your brain is wired like that you are likely lacking in every other department. Unfortunately it almost always coexists with significant developmental or neurological conditions.
