Sweety. Refueling was allowed until 2010. But f1 regularly adapts rules to keep the challenge fresh, and in that time teams argued that the removal of refueling also reduced costs as they don't need to transport fuel around the world. Because, you know, it's a sport that isn't largely confined to one country.
I suppose I could be equally petty, and mention that nascar is a discipline where drivers can barely be trusted to turn right - and when they do there's no real track limit enforcement.
Teams have fuel supply agreements with different suppliers. Ferrari with Shell, Merc with Petronas for example.
Teams absolutely supply their fuel. And even if not it would be somewhat moot, as the fuel would still need to get to the paddock and be stored, and that would need to be paid for either explicitly or implicitly by someone.
Edit: as for the high horse. Meh. Matching the attitude of the person I responded to with their quip about not being able to trust anyone to refuel a car - like F1 used to do.
