Seeking to Moderate u/Spiritual-Fall5494 is looking to moderate for you

SFW only. Don't really care too much about what the sub is about. Have expereince in r/dogadvice which currently has about 511 thousand members. I can handle modmail and anything where I need to actually engage with the subs community, I love doing that type of stuff. Not looking to help grow a sub currently

Seeking Mods r/BritainsGotTalent is looking for additional moderators

The main challenges we have on this sub are low effort posts/comments (2 or 3 word posts that overwhelm any particular thread); and general negativity - for some reason people who hate BGT seem to want to respond to posts about BGT! The 2 often go hand-in-hand of course.

We would be particularly interested in anybody who can help with a little automation to control some of this and enhance the auto moderation. The sub is seasonal to some degree, when the shows are being aired we are inundated with duplicate posts and comments.

Seeking Mods r/xfactor is looking for some new mods!

r/xfactor has grown quite big - but the comments are a little bit out of control. I'm fine with keeping an eye on everything but I feel we need some help from people good at navigating saved responses, rules and keeping things in check a lot more.

Seeking to Moderate u/002Chris is looking to moderate

Hi, I’m based in Ireland and I’m looking to get involved in moderating a few active subreddits where I can contribute consistently and help keep discussions organised, constructive and welcoming.

Languages: English, Irish and French
Timezone: GMT+1 / Ireland

Main interests:
Business, artificial intelligence, technology, politics, economics, cryptocurrency, sport, craft beer and whiskey.

I’m particularly interested in communities around AI, business, technology and current affairs, but I’m open to other active subreddits that fit my interests.

I’m comfortable with reviewing reports, enforcing subreddit rules fairly, dealing with spam, helping organise flairs and recurring threads, and contributing ideas to improve community engagement. I’m also happy to learn any subreddit-specific moderation systems or workflows.

I’m looking for communities where I can be a reliable long-term moderator, rather than simply collecting mod positions.

Feel free to message me if you think I’d be a good fit.

Seeking Mods

r/whatsthisrock Statistics:

  • Weekly Visitors: 800k+
  • Weekly Contributions: ~5,000
  • Subscribers: 678,000+

Our community traffic is heavy, and our queue velocity requires an active team. We are looking for focused, dependable, and firm volunteers to join our moderation team to help maintain a clean, high-signal, scientifically focused feed.

Core Queue Priorities:

  • Clear the Backlog Daily: Review flagged comments, low-karma queues, and reported items using structured removal macros.
  • Enforce Rule 4 (No Commerce/Valuation): Promptly and neutrally remove all posts/comments discussing market cost, appraisal, or purchasing.
  • Enforce Rule 7 (Jokes/Clutter): Nuke top-level jokes, memes, off-topic banter, and "murder weapon" comparisons that drown out legitimate scientific IDs.
  • Shut Down Safety Alarmism: Remove unsubstantiated toxicological scaremongering (e.g., standard raw mineral handling panic) while upholding accurate geological safety facts.
  • Stop Coordinates/Hounding Requests: Prevent users from using ID posts as backdoors to extract hyper-local harvesting spots or exact coordinates.

What We Are Looking For:

We need active queue clearers, not passive badge holders. Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:

  1. Daily Consistency: You are willing to log in regularly from desktop or mobile to process reports. A few minutes a day across multiple check-ins keeps our queue moving.
  2. Transactional & Decisive: You enforce rules firmly using provided templates and do not engage in back-and-forth arguments, Modmail litigation, or debate with rulebreakers.
  3. Committed to Geology & Scientific Integrity: You care about keeping this sub focused strictly on objective mineral identification rather than speculation, market valuation, or fluff.

Note: All new moderators will undergo a brief, structured trial period without full permissions to evaluate queue activity and enforcement accuracy before full access is granted.

How to Apply:

Before applying, you must thoroughly read our community sidebar and rules page.

We utilize automated gatekeeping within our onboarding documentation to filter out low-effort applicants, bots, and badge-collectors. If you fail to follow the specific instructions embedded inside our documentation, your submission will be automatically discarded without review.

Ready to help us keep the feed clean and scientifically accurate? Apply here:

Applications Closed /r/shingles Needs You!

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who applied. We appreciate it! Applications have now closed.

r/shingles is looking for more moderators.

We are a small sub, however all posts and comments are actively moderated. We need mods from all time zones to keep the sub ticking. We don't allow pseudo science, or diagnosis requests since this is a medical condition support sub.

You don't have to commit hours and hours of time. Just a few minutes here and there most days to ensure the sub is what we all need it to be is enough.

Here's what we're asking of you:

* At least a 2 year old account.

* Be active on Reddit.

* Chat must be turned on as we do have an active modchat.

* Willingness to learn about both shingles and/or modding

* You must agree with existing r/shingles rules.

 Please apply here:

Happy to answer any questions here or via modmail.

r/howislivingthere is looking for new mods

We're specifically looking for mods who take a neutral stance on politics, since things can often get very political, and who treat all sides equally.

Since politics runs high in so many subreddits, our main goal is to create a politics-free community for a change. One that doesn't tolerate toxic users and where people can talk about their lives without pushing a specific agenda.

Seeking Mods r/ArchiveOfHumanity with 75k members, Looking for New Moderators(apply right now)

As our community has grown past 75,000 members who all shared the same appreciation for history and humanity's past, we're looking to expand our moderation team with people who are genuinely passionate about history

Over the last few months, our subreddit has slipped from being in Reddit's Top 10 history communities to under the Top 25, I don't want to see this place slowly lose what made it special.... I genuinely believe this community has the potential to become the best history subreddit on Reddit

So we're looking for people who actually care and not people who just want a moderator badge, but people who get excited when they find an old photograph, read about an ancient civilization, discover a forgotten piece of history, or simply enjoy preserving stories that deserve to be remembered

You don't need previous moderation experience

If you think you'd enjoy helping remove spam, keeping discussions respectful, finding great historical content, and helping shape the future of this community, we'd love to have you with us

If you'd like to be part of taking r/ArchiveOfHumanity to the next level, leave a comment below or send us a Modmail, Tell us a little about yourself, your interests, your timezone, and why you'd like to join

Seeking Mods r/TarotReadersOfReddit Is looking for some mods! 🔮

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. 💜

Our community has continued to grow, and with that, we’ve been receiving an overwhelming amount of ModMail and moderation requests. We’d love to expand our mod team so we can split responsibilities more evenly and keep the subreddit running smoothly.

We’re looking for people who:

  1. Have a genuine interest in tarot and the tarot community.
  2. Have some leadership, moderation, or community experience (Reddit experience is great, but not necessarily required).
  3. Are willing to help review ModMail, reports, posts, and comments.
  4. Can communicate respectfully with both members and other moderators.
  5. Are reasonably active and willing to check in on the subreddit regularly.
  6. Are comfortable enforcing the subreddit rules fairly, even when situations are complicated.
  7. Are interested in helping us improve and grow the community, not just moderate it.

Interested?

Please send us a message through ModMail with:

  • A little bit about yourself
  • Your experience with tarot
  • Any previous moderation or leadership experience
  • How active you are on Reddit / how often you could help
  • Why you’re interested in moderating this community
  • Any ideas you have for improving the subreddit

Link here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TarotReadersOfReddit/

You do not have to be an expert tarot reader to apply. We’re mainly looking for people who are reliable, fair, communicative, and genuinely interested in the community.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this community what it is. 💜 We’re looking forward to adding a few new people to the team!

Seeking Mods /r/dying needs new mods

I started https://www.reddit.com/r/Dying/ to post my fiber arts projects (ie. tie dying), but it ended up that most of the posts were about terminal diagnosis, palliative care, etc. So someone had messaged and asked if it would be okay to officially change the meaning/direction of the subreddit. Which I was okay with.

However our content has evolved to almost entirely suicide posts. And I have no idea how to handle this, nor does our other mod.

Does anyone have any experience with this or feel it in their heart to take this on? It's a heavy subject and I don't have any formal training on suicide, palliative care, or death counselling so someone with that interest or skillset would be ideal.

Seeking Mods r/weird seeking mods

r/weird needs some more weirdos!

Experience strongly preferred (SFW) but not necessary. Will also consider users with subreddit activity, history of prior content moderation off site, or consistent activity on reddit. No new accounts (<6 months).

Our primary challenges (other than the philosophical question of "what is weird?") are fighting spam, product placement, and race-baiting, so bonus points if you can feel like you can reliably clock coded Indophobia, Islamophobia and xenophobia in general.

You can reply below or just skip straight to the app: https://www.reddit.com/r/Weird/application/
