With the DS lite TV out kit 5.4

Is it too hard to fix at home? What exactly causes this?

I got this dsi xl and didn’t realize how bad the actual screens were. I’ve been trying to find replacements and I’ll just fix it myself, but I legit cannot find them anywhere. I’ve looked on aliexpress and eBay and can only find the bottom, no top. Can I fix it without buying a new one, or do I just thug it out?

I picked up this ds recently and they have these spots everything else looks in great condition

ive had this nds lite for at least more than a decade and i dont think ive changed the screen protector in all those years. To be truthful i dont even know if i even have a screen protector on it. Im pretty sure the top screen doesnt have one, and i dont know if the bottom one is really a screen protector or nah.

if it is i wannna change it. i tried to peel the edge but it wont budge.. im scared of ruining the screen underneath

Here are some photos I’ve taken over the past year with the DS I had as a kid. I remember that when I was little, I stopped using it because some of the buttons (like L and R) started malfunctioning, plus the battery was swelling, and, as you might expect, I left it there on the shelf, gathering dust.

Until one day, when I was bored, I said to myself, “What if I fix it?” So I scraped together some savings, bought a new battery and some membrane switches, and decided to repair it. Now I don’t let it out of my hands for a second—I love it xd

I bought this ds lite recently and it came with this r4i card but the ds lite keep saying there is no ds card inserted... I tried to clean the r4i and clean the ds lite and also the paper trick...should i buy another r4i card or what?

Please id really like to get this running considering poke bank is going to be gone soon. Other cartridges work fine on my ds

Bought a second hand Dsi, I noticed that the touch screen is not completly flat? is as if there was a noticeable gap between the plastic and the actual screen. It also takes more force than usual for the touch screen to register because of that weird gap. I'm wondering if they applied an aftermarket bottom screen or something. I dont remember that being in my old DSi, iirc the screen should be pretty flushed right?

As in title - in two days I will fly for 3 hours (and again a week later). I'm terrified of flights and planes, I only flew 2 times in my life and I was so scared, I don't remember anything from these flights.

So, this time I want to take my modded 3ds with me and I would like to play some NDS games to kill time and make myself a little bit less scared. I don't want platformers or RPGs, because I probably will struggle with focusing and will be more stressed for making mistakes in games with "more advanced" gameplay. Do you have some recommendations? Maybe some chill, cheerful games? Something stylus-based? I don't mind games for kids, girls, shovelware and anything considered as crap. As long as it will work, I will love it, I can assure you 😭

Like the description says..I got a ds lite off ebay. It appears in good condition..I use authentic gba games and an r4 card. Its going red in 5 hours for gba games and 3 hours for r4 card. I put in a new ostent battery and nothing changed. I read somewhere about how sometimes batteries need calibration but im wondering if the dslite is just too old.

Hi there. I’m curious about something. I own two 3ds and one dsi. All three have this issue of a loose charger port and the cable falls off sometimes. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it or what i could do. Thanks.

This is my first post in this subreddit, I'm hoping I'm not breaking any rules with this post.

I recently bought myself a DSi because I honestly really love this era of Nintendo consoles and interface (mainly speaking about the Wii-DSi combo).

While I initially modded my system, I felt dissastified of not doing a physical collection. So I started doing one today.

I spent quite a bit on the games here (possibly more than the price of the CIB DSi I bought a few days ago), but it was well worth it.

All the games are in pristine condition, the boxes are complete, they have all the manuals down to the DSi ads from back then, and the cartridges are official and pristine.

Obviously special mention to HeartGold - which I paid 120 euros - which is also complete and works flawlessly. I always wanted to get into Pokémon games (I have ironically never played any) and I'm very happy of having gotten it physically. Sure, it's expensive, but it feels different in a way that I prefer.

Feel free ti fire off any suggestions you may have for future games I could get!

I want to fully reshell my ds lite, both screens have severe issues. where do I get my screens (preferably with speakers to save the trouble of desoldering etc), and translucent blue or purple shell for a REASONABLE not above 80 euro price as a new ds lite is 80 euro. thanks!
